I didn’t think so, either. I finally got it fixed by repairing disk permissions and running onyx. Now it seems the time that the message was sent and some other stuff that just slows me down is included and I haven’t found a way to turn it off. Second, the number of messages in a conversation is now spoken at the end, after the message header details and the message preview. I’d prefer the old behaviour, where I heard how big the conversation was at the very beginning. And finally, I used to get from my message list to the email i wanted to read by pressing VO+J. The message would immediately start to read. Now it seems a first press of VO+J does nothing at all, and to do the same thing that once took 1 press of VO+J now takes three. I think this latter one is a bug. I’ve really enjoyed using Mail in Mountain Lion but if I can’t get the chatty behaviour under control, will run Outlook in a VM. Thanks for any thoughts. I copied the i work folder from Mark's applications folder and pasted it on mine. I got the message that I needed to be running the latest version, but there was no button to update, etc, just that error message. there is no record of my purchasing I work in the mac app store, of course. Re: how to create folders in iOS7?
Hi Danielle, You have to put apps on top of one another, just as before. The trick is that sometimes you have to hold them there for a little while before the folder is created. I'm finding that you also have to have a light touch on the screen, this for me, seemed to work better then really pushing down. hth, Caitlyn On 2013-09-22, at 3:43 PM, Daniela Rubio wrote: > Hi all! > I just have reconfigured my iPad as a new iPad, and now I have all my apps > without folders. Re: Option T for time, Apple Script on new MBA
Hey Kim, Go into the vo utility and pick the first row in the table, it might be called general or something like that. this is where you can add a personalized greeting when the computer is turned on. In this same row is the radio button for "use apple scripts". Make sure this is checked. Now go down to the commanders row. Go into that and pick keyboard commander. Make sure that keyboard commander is selected/turned on. If you look under this, I think the one for time is under there. If not, there should be an option for you to create it by pressing the keys you want. I am doing this from memory, so sorry if some things are jumbled.. Cait, going for coffee now! Re: braille commands and more
Yep! I'm thinking about turning the darn thing off for the time being. Just about everything I read is underlined, too-I think this is showing that it's highlighted, but it's annoying. Can I turn this feature off, too? Since listening to a podcast recently, I've learned that I can do way more input from the actual display then I thought I could originally, so am using the display more these days. Any help anybody can give, etc, would be great so I can use this more. Cait On 2013-08-03, at 2:54 PM, Paul Henrichsen wrote: > I have the same concerns. What does that status cell mean? Hi, OK, I'm a bit confused now. I turned on the status cells on my braille sense and don't understand what they mean. Also, is there a command to use with a braille display that's akin to VO j? Re: alva?
Eric, This is funded through ADP. My only choices were/are the brilliant, the alva, and the freedom scientific focus products. I really wanted a braille edge, but no go. It might be problematic to go back to get this changed.. thanks for your input, though. I haven't cemented anything in stone yet with the vender. why do you prefer the brilliant over the alva? I looked at the brilliant and while it seems sturdy, you can't do braille input on it. Re: braille edge display and voice over?
Eric, Thanks tons! This is totally helpful. It doesn't surprise me about WE at all. I don't use fusion all that much, just for my school and I can live with maybe using computer braille for that if needs be. I won't be buying anymore sma's for that program after version 8.0 I don't think.. the rest sounds great, though. I've been struggling along with my old bps for awhile now, so having 40 cells sounds a treat but I got used to 32 cells. Re: VMWare Fusion questions
Alex, Setting up the vm is accessible. I think as long as you have the key you can put it on three machines. My vm is 40 gigs, but all I'm using my windows machine for is k1000 and some windows games that don't have mac versions yet so I don't need a big one. Hope somebody else can answer the other questions you have.
