Hi. I think the game you're looking for is called Change Reaction, and yes
that is in the app store.

Re: Podcast for automator

2015-07-14 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi. A number of years ago, I did an automator podcast. Keep in mind this is
back in the Leopard days. I think it could still be useful though. It's
possible that the layout of the automator window may have changed slightly
since then, but all the concepts of how you do things haven't changed.
The web sight for the Screenless Switchers Podcast is currently down, but here
is a direct link to the mp3 file.

Re: Night Owl

2015-04-20 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Jürgen. In Nightowl pressing the spacebar will take you to the oldest
unread tweet. So if you're at the top of the list, pressing the spacebar
should do what you want. As a matter of fact, I mainly use the spacebar to
browse tweets. What I do when launching the app, is hit control 2 to go to my
replys tab. If you get through all unread tweets in a tweet, spacebar will
take you to the first unread tweet in the next tab. So pressing spacebar moves
me first to replies, direct mentions, all my list tabs, and finally my main
timeline. When reading through my main timeline, the spacebar moves me past
tweets I may have already read in other tabs.
Hopefully this made sense.

 1. The timeline scrolls always to the top automatically and it seems to be
insignificant which settings I’ve set. I tried different settings but it
had no impact on this behaviour.
 2. I’m not able to find a support address except for twitter accounts of

don’t follow me and so there’s no way to reach them.

 Any ideas?

recording VoiceOver and a microphone with Audio Hijack 3

2015-01-23 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi. Earlier tonight, I listened to Jonathan Mosen's excellent demo of the new
Audio Hijack 3. Jonathan mentioned that it was possible to record just
VoiceOver and the microphone without recording system audio. Well I managed to
accomplish this, so I thought I'd write up how I did it, in case other people
may want to do this.
My goal was to have three output files. I wanted an isolated VoiceOver track,
an isolated microphone track, and a mix of the two. I probably would only ever
need the mix, but if the levels were really uneven, I could fix it later with
the isolated tracks. Also, I wanted to ensure that while I was recording, I
didn't hear the mic echoing back.

In order to record VoiceOver, you need two application source blocks. One for
VoiceOver, and one for com.apple.speech. If you just do VoiceOver, all you get
are the VO sound effects. In order to select those apps, when you're in the
pop over for the source block, and you're focussed on the choose application
popup button, route your mouse there, and do an option click. This shows you
all the running applications that are normally hidden. Note that when you set
up those two source blocks, you need to make sure the "fill gaps with silence"
checkbox is checked in the advanced section of the pop over. If you don't do
this, the audio from VO and the audio from your mic will quickly go out of sync.

I think the best way to explain the session will be to first describe how it
works, followed by the block layout with co-ordinates. First we have our two
VO source blocks. These are arranged vertically. They are both connected to
our output device block. This ensures that we can hear VoiceOver once the
session is running. This output block, goes to a record block. You might
change the output file name created by this block to something like VoiceOver.

A few rows down from those blocks, we have our microphone source block. This
connects to a second record block. You might have the files created by this
block called something like Microphone.
Between these two sections of blocks, we have a third record block. Our other
two record blocks connect here. Call the files created by this block something
like Mixed.

So here is the actual block layout for the session.
x1 y1: application source block: com.apple.speech
x2 y1: device output block: probably your headphones
x3 y1: record block, VoiceOver
x1 y2: application source block: VoiceOver
x4 y2: record block, Mixed
x1 y4: device source block: microphone
x2 y4: record block, Microphone

If you lay out the blocks like that, all the connections should happen properly.

Well hopefully that made at least some sort of sense. If it didn't, it's
probably my fault, as I'm writing this at 4 in the morning. Which now that I
think about it, probably wasn't one of my brightest ideas.

Re: "on my mac" mailboxes

2012-07-19 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Christina. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Gmail will sync
all your folders that belong to Gmail. You may have many email accounts, and
you probably wouldn't want to have Gmail pull in the content from all of them.
The folders in the "on my Mac" section are things you've gotten from pop
accounts. If you have folders there, you probably do want to move them to
Gmail via drag and drop, so they will then become part of Gmail.

Hi Christina. It's been a while since I moved to gMail, so I could certainly

When I first made the transition to gMail, I found the following article from

Re: Todo app that can sync with iOS

2012-07-13 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Christina. I've never used anything with dependencies myself, so there may
be more to it, but as I understand it, dependencies are task that can't be
completed until other tasks are already complete. This isn't something I need,
so remember the milk works for me.
I have an iPhone 4S, and I use Siri to enter things in to RTM. On the Mac, I
use a dashboard widget. That's the only thing I use the dashboard for. So if
I need to enter something quickly, I just hit the dashboard button, and I'm
focussed on the edit box where I can just start typing.
You can also enter tasks into remember the milk by the web, email, twitter or
sms.

Re: Hazel Help.

2012-07-06 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Emilio. One thing to keep in mind is that you want a separate rule for
every kind of file you want to deal with. So your downloads folder for example
may contain several rules. Also, you want to make sure you have the rules in
the order you want them to run. In the case of my downloads folder, I have a
catch all rule at the bottom that processes any files that haven't already been
handled by previous rules.
Many of my rules have two conditions. For example, I have a rule that moves
downloaded mp3 files to a specific folder. The conditions for this rule are,
extension is mp3, and date added is not within the last 2 hours. The date
added condition is for temporary files that I may want to listen to right away
and then delete.
I have another rule in my downloads folder that has nearly the same conditions,
but it instead deals with downloaded software disk images.
Hopefully this made sense. If you'd like, I could send you some of my rules,
so you could take a look at them.

Basically the way you set up a rule in Hazel is the same way you set up a rule

You can filter based on the kind of file, or its extension.

Hi. A Google Reader account is what handles the syncing. So if you use
multiple rss readers, or multiple devices, you can keep your feeds and read
articles in sync.
I used to use mail's RSS feature, until I also had an iOS device.
It's worth noting that if you're planning on upgrading to Mountain Lion, and
you use RSS in mail, you may want to start looking for another solution.
According to an article in Mac World, the RSS feature is no longer present in
mail. You can read the article here.

Hi. As a rule, we don't put up the archives of these live streams. The
primary reason for this is that since we're talking about stuff as soon as we

Your best bet is to actually watch the Keynote itself. Apple should have that

Today's Maccessibility Live Stream

2012-06-11 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi everyone. Just a reminder that we'll be doing a Live Stream this afternoon
covering the Apple WWDC keynote. The keynote starts at 1 PM eastern, and we
should be starting our stream at around 12:30 PM. If you would like to listen,
you can point your media player to
http://darcy.serverroom.us:8576/listen.pls?sid=1
If you'd like to interact with the show, there are two ways for you to do that.
The best way is to use the #VoLive hash tag on twitter. However, if you don't
use twitter, you can send an email to s...@screenlessswitchers.com. If you
email, you'll need to put what you want to say in the subject line only. This
is because I won't actually be opening the messages, I'll be using boxcar on my
iPhone to get notifications of them, and all I see there are the subject lines.

Re: Managing lists in YoruFukouru

Hi Shannon. Bring up the tab management screen by pressing command p. In the
table, select the tab of the list you want to edit. Press the list members
button. From the dialog that appears, you can add and delete people from your
list.

Re: more on organizing holiday music

2011-12-26 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi. Since I started using iTunes, I've maintained a separate library for
Christmas music. My reasons for doing this were that I didn't want my
Christmas music syncing over to my iDevices, and I also wanted that music
sorted in to multiple genres. At the end of each year, I create a disk image
of my iTunes Christmas library folder, and move that over to my backup drive.
There are of course some drawbacks to this approach. Mainly that if you use
iTunes for podcasts and audio books, you have to switch back and forth between
libraries.
I haven't decided for sure yet, but next year I may move all my Holiday music
to my main iTunes library. I'm thinking that I might change the genres on all
the music to Holiday, and then use the grouping field for sub-genres.

Re: Lion Growl no longer free

Apparently it's still an open source project, and the $2 is to support the
project. According to an article I read on I think Mac World, the source code
is still available from the growl site. So if you know how to build something
from source, you could go that route.

Re: Extracting audio from DVD's via the Mac.

2011-09-30 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi. There were a few things in the program I couldn't figure out. On the
first screen of the wizard, is it possible to choose a different title, or
multiple titles. I assume you can, and it has something to do with all the
scrollbars. On the next screen where you set encoding preferences, I can't
seem to change it from ogg vorbis. Anyone have any luck with either of these?

Hi. Here is my current solution for extracting audio from DVDs. It may not be
the best way to go, and I would of course love to hear how others are doing it.
I first use Ripit to copy the contents of a dvd to my hard drive. I then use
dvd remaster pro to extract all the audio tracks. These files are in ac3
format. Finally I use toonsify to convert those ac3 files in to either mp3 or
m4a, depending on what I need.

Re: Recording system audio and microphone with audio hijack pro

2011-09-24 Thread Darcy Burnard
Recently I've been playing with a way to do it that seems to work. I have two
sessions, one for the Mic, and one for the system audio. I get them both
hijacked. Then I run this simple one line applescript.

tell application "Audio Hijack Pro" to start recording (every session whose
hijacked is true)

This starts both sessions recording at the same time. Then what you have are
two audio files which as far as I can tell are in sync. When you're done
recording, you can bring them in to garageband, and your voice, and the system
sounds will be on separate tracks.

Hi. To do this, open VoiceOver utility, select commanders from the table, and
then select the keyboard commander tab. Press the add button. You'll be
focussed on an edit field where you type in the key you want to use. Once
you've typed the key you want, VO right to the commands popup button. Under
custom commands you'll find an option to run application.

Re: time script

2011-08-22 Thread Darcy Burnard
One thing you want to ensure is that you have the "allow VoiceOver to be
controlled with applescript" checkbox to be checked. This is in the general
section of VoiceOver utility. If this box is checked, the script will use
VoiceOver to speak the time. If it isn't, the script will use the say command
to do it. There still may be a bit of a pause if you haven't used the script
in a while, but it does seem to be a bit faster if that box is checked.

iTunes 10.4.1 is out

Apple has just released iTunes 10.4.1. A lot of the problems with iTunes in
Lion seem to have been fixed with this update. It feels much more responsive,
first letter navigation is back, and you can move through the sources list

Hi. If you've left everything at the defaults, there's an Audio Hijack folder,

Re: How to export audio from Audio Hijack Pro

Hi. Amadeus Pro and Audio Hijack Pro do different jobs. Audio hijack pro is
just for recording, you can't edit audio with it. You also don't have to
export from it. Before you start recording, you choose what type of audio file
you want, and that's what you'll have when your recording is done.

 Hi,

anybody got any thoughts on the newest Skype? It's so weird. You now
have the option of checking contacts as favorites or none favorites. The
only way you can search for contacts via first letter navigation now is
if you check the second of the two radio buttons just to the left of the
contacts table. IF you check contacts as favorites, those contacts become
part of the source table. With these contacts, you can VO+arrow to which
ever favorite you want and interact with it. Do this, and the regular
buttons become available. Now, if you don't want to check a contact as a
favorite, you can just stay in the main contacts table and use first
letter navigation to more quickly find the contact you wish. Find a
contact in this table and press return on it. Once you've pressed return,
the regular buttons such as call, video call ETC. become available.

Re: SuperDuper Versus Carbon Copy Cloner

Hi. I also prefer Carbon Copy Cloner. There was one time however where CCC
wouldn't do what I wanted, and the free version of Super Duper would. I wanted

this for some reason.
But that's the only time CCC didn't meet my needs, and given the new way Lion
is distributed, I don't see myself wanting to clone boot disks again.

Hi Krister In YoruFukurou, you can always get back to your timeline by
pressing command k. The time line is the only table in the window, so you
could also use VO command t to get there.

I see what you're saying. The only reason I wanted to see a port of
qwitter was simply because it provides features that most of the other

more hidden away or in the wrong place.

It would be great if someone would write a twitter client that had 4
columns lined up; timeline, direct messages, mentions, and sent. Then you
could add more columns for specific people who you are interested in, so
only there tweets showed up. Then a simple tweet box. The ability to
follow people, unfollow people, and a button to go to their twitter
profile. You could customise the time before new tweets are received.

That's it; that, in my oppinion, would be the perfect twitter client. Many
of the other clients (including qwitter itself) have a lot of unnecessary
features. For example, not to diss qwitter in any way, but who needs to do
a bing search from a twitter client? If I wanted audio tweets, I would use
one of the services already available... and my twitter client definetly
doesn't need a stopwatch build in.

 Just my thoughts.

Hi John. If you put the tag in to your search tab, it should stay there until
you replace it with something else. Alternatively, you could create a new
search tab for that tag. Do command p to bring up the tab manager, and you can
create new tabs from there.

Re: Task manager for the mac?

2011-06-12 Thread Darcy Burnard
I don't know if this is exactly what you want, but I really like remember the
milk. There's not a native mac app for it, but there are a lot of ways to get
tasks in to it including the web, e-mail and twitter. I use a dashboard widget
which allows me to quickly enter tasks, and check them off when completed. I
think you can also make it work with iCal.
Finally, there's a really good iOS app for it if you have any iOS devices.
You can find out more at http://www.rememberthemilk.com.

Are you referring to the Take Control Books series that Tidbits publishes? If
so, then yes, they are completely accessible. I've purchased several of them
actually. They don't have any drm on them. You can get them in pdf or epub
format. If you have an iOS device, the epub format works really well in iBooks.

Re: [Mac-cessibility News] How to install Dropbox on the Mac using VoiceOver

Hi Rose. When writing the article, I used the latest stable version of the
Dropbox client which is 1.1.34. With this method, you can setup dropbox. The
only thing you can't do is access the preferences dialog. However, I
personally have never had need to go in to the preferences.

Hi. I've not tried the latest click to flash, because I currently don't have
flash installed at all, but one thing you might try is the youtube html5 safari
extension. It works quite well. You can get it here.

Re: Two questions about Audio Hijack

2011-02-27 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Mike. That script will hijack the first item in your sessions list that
includes the name skype. So as long as you have one session called skype, it
will work. As for VO not interacting with the toolbar, that's a puzzle. What
happens when you try to interact with it?

Re: drop box still not working in public folder

2011-02-21 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Marlaina. When you're focussed on the file you want in your dropbox public
folder, you want to do VO shift M on it. This will bring up the standard
finder context menu. However there should be an additional submenu for
dropbox. From there you should find the option to get the download link for
said file. It will copy the link to your clipboard.
It is possible that the dropbox submenu might only be available once the file
has finished uploading to dropbox. I've never tried to access that submenu
until after the upload was finished.
Unfortunately the only way I've found to reliably tell if the file is finished
uploading is to keep an eye on the network traffic section of activity monitor.
Of course this only works if you're not doing much other network activity at
the time.
HTH.

Re: Recording Mic via AudioHijackPro.

2011-02-19 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Geof. Soundflower no longer comes with audio hijack pro. It used to be
there were two components that you needed to install. Instant hijack allowed
audio hijack pro to hijack audio from an app without restarting it. While
soundflower allowed you to record all system audio. Now they have a new
component called instant on, which is supposed to replace both of those older
components. However instant on doesn't seem to include the mic while hijacking
system audio. Even if you have the mic hijacked with another session, and have
it's output going through default system output, instant on doesn't seem to
grab it.

Re: Problem with the latest version of Audio Hijack Pro

2011-02-19 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Thomas. This script will do what you want, assuming you have your
microphone set as the default system input.

tell application "Audio Hijack Pro"
set session1 to the first session whose name contains "System Audio"
set session2 to the first session whose name contains "Default"
tell session1 to start hijacking
tell session2 to start hijacking
tell session1 to start recording
tell session2 to start recording
end tell

What you want to do is open up script editor and paste in the above script.
You could run it by pressing command r. What I would suggest you do is to save
it, and then set up one of VoiceOver's keyboard commander shortcuts to it.
Then you can start recording from anywhere.
HTH.

Hi Thomas. I can think of a couple of things you might try. I've not tried

First, you could try setting the scheduler to start recording both sessions at

Re: Audio Hijack Pro

Hi Louie. In your whistle session, you want to go in to advanced recording
options, and make sure the radio button for megamix mode is selected. This
records all input and output audio streams from an application. However, for
some reason when you're recording you hear your voice coming back through the
headphones. I haven't yet found a way around this.

Hi. Just for testing purposes, one thing you might try is to temporarily turn
off encryption on your router. At least then you can see if that is the
problem.

Re: Recording Skype calls on the fly with Audio Hijack

2011-02-03 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Michael. You can accomplish what you want with this simple AppleScript
Since I can't attach files to list messages, I'll paste the text of the script
below.

tell application "Audio Hijack Pro"
set theSession to the first session whose name contains "Skype"
tell theSession to start hijacking
tell theSession to start recording
end tell

What you want to do is open up script editor, and copy the above script in, and
save the file.
I'm assuming you're using Snow Leopard. If so, you can attach the script to a
keyboard commander key. Then you can run it from anywhere.
Hope this made sense. If not, let me know and I'll be glad to help you out
further.

Re: Recording Skype calls on the fly with Audio Hijack

2011-02-03 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Michael. I've not done exactly what you want, but I have done similar
things with audio hijack and applescript.
Sometimes when recording podcasts with skype, I will want to play in audio
clips. So to do that I need to hijack system audio. When doing that, I want
to mute my microphone to reduce noise while clips are playing. I have two
applescripts, one to mute my mic and the other to unmute it. I have those
scripts tied to keys in VoiceOver's keyboard commander. That way I can trigger
them from anywhere.
I've not looked, but I would be really surprised if you couldn't have a script
to launch audio hijack pro, hijack skype, and start recording. You would of
course need the instant on component installed for that to work.
I'll see if I can make this work, and if so, I'll respond to this thread with
the script.

Re: learning voiceover the old fashioned way?

2011-01-04 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Karen. Apple does have a getting started with VoiceOver guide. You can
read it online here.
http://www.apple.com/voiceover/info/guide/
I think you can also order a braille copy.
That being said, I'm not sure I'd agree that you really want to dig that much
in depth with VO until you have a Mac in front of you. Some of the concepts
will seem very alien until you can try it. I'm referring specifically to the
concept of interacting.
Speaking from my own experience, I found I got all the fundamentals of VO from
the quick start tutorial built in to the OS. The rest I learned as I needed it.
If you're going to read up on anything before hand, I think you'd be better
served by learning about Mac OS 10 itself rather than the screen reader. Apple
used to have some great documentation for switchers on their site, that
outlined the major differences between the Mac and Windows. I'm sure it's
still there.

Re: Deleted email messages coming back in Windows?

2010-12-23 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Sarah. When you're using mail on the Mac with Gmail, it can sometimes take
it a long time to move messages to trash. So if you've just deleted a bunch of
messages, it's best not to close mail right away. Give it a few minutes. You
can bring up the mail activity monitor by pressing command 0. If VO reads that
window as empty scroll area, then mail isn't doing anything and it's safe to
close. If it shows anything else, then you may want to wait.
I've recently discovered one way to improve things a little bit. In mail,
under account preferences for your Gmail account, turn off the automatic
emptying of trash. This will give mail a lot less work to do, and Gmail will
automatically remove trash older than one month anyway.
HTH.

Re: Indie Mac Gift Pack: 6 apps for $60

2010-12-15 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi. The gift pack still may be good deal if you already are a user of sound
studio. The version of sound studio you get in the gift pack is version 4.
Currently that is the only way to get version 4. When the sale is over, sound
studio will sell for $79, or $30 to upgrade from version 3. So if you want at
least 1 of the other apps, it's a good deal.
I haven't decided if I want to get the bundle or not, but I am thinking about
it because I do need to upgrade sound studio, plus I wouldn't mind having mars
edit.

Re: Tagging audio-files on the Mac...

Hi David. I use a program called id3 editor. You can find it here.
http://www.pa-software.com/products/overview.php?prod=BC3B2E3A
Unfortunately it isn't free. There may be free solutions now, but when I first
needed to do this in 2006, this was all I could find.

Re: Face time and Audio Hijack?

2010-11-20 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hey Allison. I've never tried recording face time, so don't know if it will
work, but one thing to make sure is that under the advanced hijacking options,
you have the mega mix mode radio button selected. This records all incoming
and outgoing audio streams for an app. This is what you have to do for skype,
so odds are this is what you need to do for face time as well.
HTH, and let us know if it worked.

Re: Apple Mail and Google

2010-11-09 Thread Darcy Burnard
Linda, are you using pop or imap with gmail? If you're using imap, you can
have gmail just not show you the all mail folder. I can't remember the name of
it, but there is a google labs feature you enable that gives you more control
over what mailboxes are shown with imap. This is what I did, and I don't see
the all mail folder.
There's a great article from tidbits on how best to set up gmail with mac mail.

Hi Justin. Do you happen to have either audio hijack pro or radio shift? I

if the included software doesn't work, you still may be in luck.

Re: GMail filters and Apple Mail

2010-11-06 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi. Personally how I like to do gmail filters is to put all the criteria in
the "has the words" field. This is mainly because I like to filter on the
replyto field whenever possible.
So when I set up my filter for this list, I put
"replyto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com" in the has words field. This is of
course without the quotes.
Filtering on the replyto field ensures that even if someone sends a message to
Mac Visionaries with cc, the message will still be filtered correctly.
Not all mailing lists have a replyto filed however. Apple's automator users
list for example does not. In that case, to make my filter I put the following
in the has the words field.
to:automator-us...@lists.apple.com OR cc:automator-us...@lists.apple.com

Skype 5 and the address book

Hi. I've noticed that under the address book section of contacts, you only see
one phone number. Before I would see entries for every phone number in my
address book. That is, if one of the contacts in my address book had a home
number and a cell, I would see them both. Now I just have the home number. Is
anyone else seeing this?

Hi all. Tomorrow Apple is doing a press event, the focus of which is the Mac.
Maccessibility and Screenless Switchers will be doing live commentary of the
event. At this point we're not sure if Apple is live streaming the event or
not. If they don't, we will start when the event starts, at 1 PM eastern, 10

You can listen at the following URL. http://stations.ultrastreams.us:8213.
The best way to keep up with what we're doing is by following the #VoLive hash

Hi Corey. What you need to do is find the preview pane with VoiceOver, and
then VO left from it. You'll be on a splitter. Press VO command f5 to route
your mouse to the splitter. Then double click. If memory serves you need to
use the actual mouse button here, rather then use the VO mouse click command.

Re: audio source button in airfoil has become nonresponsive

2010-08-29 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi Mary. You need to do VO shift space on the sources button. This is the VO
context menu command. It brings up a menu where you choose your source. If
the app you want isn't listed, you can select other applications, which
presents a dialog where you can choose from any app.

Re: serious nightmare with imap gmail

2010-08-23 Thread Darcy Burnard
Hi. I can't remember the name of it, but there's a google labs feature you can
enable which allows you to have specific folders restricted from imap. You
would use this to have it not show the all mail folder. When I first set up
imap on gmail, I found an excellent article from tidbits on the best way to do
it. You can read it here.

Re: dropbox

2010-08-13 Thread Darcy Burnard
Here's how I get to the dropbox menu. It's not ideal, but it does work. I'm
using a macbook pro with a track pad. If you're on a desktop, you'll probably
have to use mouse keys.
Here are the steps.
1. If you're using trackpad commander, turn it off.
2. Go to the status menu by pressing VO-m twice.
3. Route your mouse pointer by pressing VO command f5.
4. Turn on control option lock with VO semicolon.
5. Place your finger in the upper right corner of the trackpad and slowly drag
it along the top edge. Press f5 periodically to see where the mouse pointer is
sitting. Eventually you will hear dropbox. You can click the mouse at that
point.
Note that you can't use VO space or return at all while in this menu. You'll
have to use the clicker to confirm everything.
HTH.

 Hi Louie,

To get to the Dropbox icon on your status menu bar, use window chooser
menu (VO-F2 twice), and choose "untitled". Then, route your mouse
cursor to that location, which will be the Dropbox icon on the status
menu bar. There are a couple of apps I know of that work this way,
where you can get around the fact that the icon on the status menu is
not seen by VoiceOver by using VO-F2 twice. Unfortunately (if you're
using more than one of these), they all identify their icon as
"untitled", so you have to determine whether you want the first or
second "untitled" in the window chooser menu list.

Mike, Dropbox is a cross-platform file sharing program that you can
use to share or sync files across machines, You can also use this
through an app on your iPhone or iPod Touch as a way of transferring
files. I think you get 2 GB of file space for free when you sign up.
You can purchase additional space. Also, unlike some file sharing
services, the transmission and data are encrypted with SSL, and
sharable folders can only be viewed by people you invite.

Hi. I had trouble with tivo decode manager as well. My guess is that it
doesn't work with Snow Leopard. What I ended up doing was uuse the web

It's been a while since I've done this, so I can't give you specific

MoveAddict preferences

Hi all. My apologies if this has been mentioned already, but I didn't see it

I just downloaded MoveAddict. Inside the disk image, there is an accessibility

MoveAddict, but now you no longer have to drill down in to package contents to
find it.

Re: Are there any Itunes video converters

2010-06-19 Thread Darcy Burnard
I use mpeg stream clip to extract the audio from video files.
However, if the iTunes videos you're talking about have been purchased from the
store, mpeg stream clip may not be able to work because of the drm.

Re: Audio Hijack Pro Files

2010-06-15 Thread Darcy Burnard
The sessions are given the names of the source audio. So they are named things
like: skype, safari, default system input, etc.
I don't think you can change those names.

Re: Audio Hijack Pro Files

2010-06-14 Thread Darcy Burnard
Each session is basically a preset for audio hijack pro.
Each session can include things like: the audio source (often an application or
hardware device), the output (an audio device or silence output), recording
options (what format to save the audio and where to save it), scheduling
(making it hijack something at a scheduled time), and the effects grid which we
currently can't use.
For example, I have my skype session set up to save in aiff format, because I
use skype for recording podcasts, and I'll want to edit those files when I'm
done recording. On the other hand, I sometimes use the safari session to
record streaming audio. I tend to only listen to the stuff I record once and
then delete it, so I can record it as mp3 or AAC since it's smaller.
Hope this made sense.
