Re: Instructions on adding BrailleNote as Braille Display
Hi Alison: Your instructions worked really well, up until I pressed enter in terminal mode when the display said "bluetooth." It shows a blank screen on the brailleNote, but it recognised the pairing and everything. Do I need to turn voiceover off and on again? I'll try it. Re: Solved BrailleNote as Bluetooth Display!
Alison: Where is the setting for putting VoiceOver into terminal mode? I can see how to add a Braille display, but when I've attached the Braillenote to the Mac and put it in terminal mode, it doesn't respond and neither does the Mac. Do I have to pair them via bluetooth rather than with the usb cable? Thanks. Re: spanish commands on the mac
Hello: You can make the Mac produce an accent mark, an acute accent, as it were, by holding down the options key, second to the left of the spacebar, and tapping the e. Then you release both and type the vowel you want accented. So for example: e accent would be options-e then e. For n tilde, just hit options-n for inverted exclamation and inverted question marks, just type options-exclaim or options-question. I hope this is useful. my mac rejecting password for email account and one safari website while my windows computer accepts them
What do I do about that? I can log in to the same site on Windows and it sails through just fine but the mac won't accept it. Same with an email account I've always been able to access, now all of a sudden the mac wants a password which I know is correct and it won't accept. I thought Windows was supposed to be the difficult system. When I went in and looked at the key chains and the autofill in safari preferences, there's no sign of the offending website and about five references to the same email account. Help!!! skype on the iphone
Is there a particular skype ap that's accessible? The one I downloaded is not as accessible as it might be, or I'm doing it wrong. It says I have three contact requests but no matter how I try and access what they are, it won't read them. Now it's reading a list of presumably the letters of the alphabet under which heading I might have contacts, so for instance it says A C D E F H L etc. but that's the extent of it. The other thing that's causing me problems is how to sync skype contacts between IPhone and Mac? I thought they would sync if you checked that box in the cell phone settings scroll area in ITunes, but it seems it only works one way, if at all. Any help would be appreciated. IPhoto with ViceOver
Now that I have an IPhone, I've become someone who takes pictures, has other people take pictures and sends pictures. How do I rename them once they're in IPhoto on the Mac? When I try to sync them from the IPhone, I get this outrageous number like 3000 pictures and 2000 events have been imported but I can't seem to make VO read the names of the photos so I can relabel them with something intelligible, rather than IMG0001334, for example nor can I delete all the other extraneous ones. changing itunes library
Hello All: I wanted to clean up my Itunes libraries, make sure that I didn't have duplicate files etc. and generally make it easier to keep track of where everything is getting downloaded to, add playlists and synchronise it all iwth my IPhone. However, now that I've tidied up my iTunes folders, and reset the preference for where the library is supposed to be, it is showing my a blank songs list. Either that or it's saying there's no library in the folder I've chosen. I elected to put all my albums and songs in the iTunes, iTunes music folder but it says there's no library associated with that folder. Can I simply pick up the library.xml, the other library files and transfer them to the iTunes Music, folder? In the advanced menu of itunes preferences, it says it's looking in Users, Rebecca Redmile's MacBook, music, iTunes, iTunes music but it keeps showing me a blank list and there's no way for me to search by album etc. Any help would be appreciated.
