Hi, I’m using a Intel Mac with VM Ware. I never had a problem with the Caps key. Did you select the Caps key or the insert key in the Orca settings? No, I always run Orca directly on hardware, not virtualized. Your desktop environment of choice may have options to remap keys. If you’re using an X session, there is, if I remember correctly, a configuration file you can create. I would suggest doing some Web searches. Capslock in Linux
Hi, Does anyone know of a way to issue the Capslock key in a Linux OS when running Parallels on a silicon Mac? On Windows I remap a key using Sharp Keys or the recently updated Windows Power Toys. Hi Deedra, The purpose of these two programs is to remap the caps lock to an insert key in your vm. As I recall, the correct code is 110 (not 50). Chris, that’s easier said then done i dont need a second keyboard to carry around:P and since i got this one with the macbook i’d rather not use 2 keyboards. remapping the capslock for linux
So i managed to unearth 2 emails which suggests remapping the capslock to an ` key however doing this in vmware still does not pass the capslock to the vm, it says ` when i type `. does anyone have any info on how to do this for linux?
