Re: Dragging and dropping a Mailbox to Favorites yet again
Thanks Clifton. Waiting until the next update for Mavericks as everything I have read about it hasn't been stellar, but will definitely save this away for when I eventually do upgrade. Re: Dragging and dropping a Mailbox to Favorites yet again
Hi, Dragging a mailbox to the favorites bar has worked for me in Mavericks. I am in standard view though, and turned on full screen mode with command-ctrl f. Interact with the mailbox to be dragged. Command comma to start the dragging process. Move to favourites bar but don’t interact. I could then only get shift vo period to work. The vo period alone didn’t work. I had to restart mail once but upon the restart it definitely worked. Lisette On 16/12/2013, at 6:48 am, Kliphton --- wrote: > Well, in mavericks this has changed. Re: Dragging and dropping a Mailbox to Favorites yet again
Well, in mavericks this has changed. The drag and drop feature, for mailboxes, at least for me hasn’t worked since I upgraded. What has worked, is the mouse down and up command. So mouse down on the mailbox you want to add to favorites, this is command, option, control, and shift plus the spacebar all at the same time. When you get the mailbox where you want it, then do the same thing to do the mouse up command. This has worked for me on both my macs so I know it works. HTH. Re: Dragging and dropping a Mailbox to Favorites yet again
Hey Nick, Wow, not sure what worked, but got both the mailboxes there after trying several several different combinations, including toggling cursor tacking on and off, trying to move the VO focus got several error messages about not being able to move VO focus and mailbox is not draggable but just kept at it with different combinations and eventually one of them worked. Thanks so much. On Dec 14, 2013, at 5:51 PM, Nicholas Parsons wrote: > HI Bryan, > I quite frequently use this and have always had success. Re: Dragging and dropping a Mailbox to Favorites yet again
HI Bryan, I quite frequently use this and have always had success. Instead of using VO-Period to drop, however, try using VO-shift-period or VO-shift-comma while interacting with the Favourites Bar and while VO is focussed on one of your other favourites. These commands of course should drop the mailbox after or before one of your existing favourites respectively. Dragging and dropping a Mailbox to Favorites yet again
Hey all, Ugh I had to delete all my email accounts in gmail and reinstall them and lost all of my favorites. I went back to our old notes on dragging and dropping a mailbox in to favorites in Mountain Lion as I am still running Mountain Lion, and of course again I can't get the mailbox to drop in to favorites. I wanted to see if anyone has had any recent success with this and figured out a work around. Here's the method I have been using. In classic mail mode, the preview pane is closed. I click VO comma to drag a mailbox. This automatically kicks me out of my mailbox table I am in and I VO left over to the favorites, I go to drop the mailbox with VO period, have tried this on top of the Favorties bar and while interacting in the favorites group, and I can hear the mailbox being dragged and VO tells me it is being dragged, but then I get an unable to drop mailbox message. Ugh this is so frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
