Re: I might need a new audio interface for recording. What's accessible?

2015-04-08 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
Sounds intresting.
I may buy a new synth and i have found some combined synth/midi/audio
interfaces from roland.
One of them seems really great but the price is very steap.
Its the roland integra 7.

Re: I might need a new audio interface for recording. What's accessible?

2015-04-04 Thread Christopher-Mark Gilland
OK, well, by the sounds of it then, the C400, if you can find one would
definitely do the trick. What's also nice about it is, no electrical cord.
It's literally just simply powered by USB, and absolutely nothing more, and
is quite portable. The two XLR in's definitely also do have phantom power
ability, so if you need that, it's there. Also each channel has a padding
button for a 10DB cut, if you need it. Then you have your gain dials, and
mute buttons for all your outputs. You also get a stereo quarter inch
headphone out, a master volume control, a memory button which you can
preset to basically any function within your DAW of choice, although I'm not
sure how to do so, as I never did it. Then, finally, there's also obviously
an independent dial for headphone monitor volume level.

It's a sweet! little interface! It's a shame that they no longer make it.
As I say though, I can almost betcha that you could find one online still
totally new and unopened.

I appreciate the offer Cameron, I pulled out a quad capture that I had that
was noisy with my old yamaha keyboard, and hooked it up, and low and behold
it is more accessible than in windows. It even has drivers available for
Yosemite. The only thing I wish it had was a couple more plugins for stuff
on the front, but I have already spent too much money as it is. I guess a
couple grand for this mac, software and such is enough for a while hahaha

It's really hard though for me to say what you need. I mean, how many
channels do you need, like how many outs/ins. Do you need Spiddif, do you
need RCA in/out, do you need XLR in's, I mean, do you need midi,... I need
more info. I know the FocusRight interfaces are extremely good, but I
confess I'm not really familiar with each model individually.

Subject: I might need a new audio interface for recording. What's accessible?

Hi all. I am not sure of this yet, but I might have to replace my focus
right scarlet 1820I. If I do have to replace it, what is out there that is
accessible with my new macbook pro? Or if somebody knows how I can find the
inputs and outputs for the focus right in logic pro or garage band, I would
appreciate any help anyone could share please.
 Thanks all.
Ted PhillipsEither I can’t seem to find out how to change the settings in the
scarlet mix control panel, or it’s inaccessible.

Re: I might need a new audio interface for recording. What's accessible?

2015-04-04 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. I have a Mark of the unicorn 828MKII firewire audio/midi interface
for sale. Among it's many features are phantom power, ten db pad
switches, a bunch of tactile controls, eight line ins, eight line
outs, main outs, two headphone preamps with independent volume
controls, midi ports, spdif, etc.

Shoot me an e mail off list if you're interested. The drivers are rock
solid on both mac and windows 64 bit and although the unit has a ton
of features, it is only a single rack space in size. The preamps are
really clean and quiet and have a lot of headroom. They beat preamps
on m audio and tascam interfaces hands down!

Thanks,

Cameron.

 Ouch! Nice interface, BTW.

 I know that the M-Audio Fasttrack C400 isn't made anymore, although they're

floating around on Amazon. I think they might even still have some in stock

that are completely new, never even opened. Of corse there's also always
EBay, and don't forget, EBay isn't jused used or refurbished items. Some
EBay store murchants even have them new.
