Re: Libra Office

2011-05-10 Thread Krister Ekstrom
Hi,
I have tried Libre Office and it's got about the same sowstoppers as
Openoffice, that is wordprocessing, every line is presented as a different edit
box, making it hard to read continuously and you can't as far as i know select
long pieces of text. That's as far as i came before giving up on it.

Has anyone tried it? If so, how well is VoiceOver accessibility?

It is not very accessible with VO. Read-All command doesn't work, tables
are unreachable, character, page, and paragraph setting dialogs require
some very difficult work-around to be used, spreadsheet is usable but
not in a productive environment and you do have a lot of time to waste
on it to come out with something readable and usable. After all, Libre
office is nothing but a diferent version of Open Office, isn't it?

In plain english: Office automation still remains a big problem under
MacOSX and Voice Over.

My bests.
