They won’t take down your channel. What they will do is send you a warning and possibly pull down the track. You have a means though to dispute that action. I’ve gotten hit with this before for music that was clearly mine, I responded through their mechanism and nothing happened because a human intervenes and verifies. They seem to be a great vehicle for exposure. On the other hand, they say well, if you put up a cover, you better have the license to do so, even if you won't be selling the track. But that can be hundreds or thousands of dollars. So what does one do? I don't want my account and/or channel taken down/erased but at the same time, I'm not sitting on a pile of money here either.
