Hi, you are sending out multi email to this list! I got at least two of
these emails. Rather it is your fault or not there is more than one going
out.

Multiple messages received [was Re: mouseovers and voiceover]

2009-12-22 Thread Esther
Hi,

I'm not sure what is going with the messaging, but I received 5 copies
of Mike's original post, all at different times. However, when I
checked the time of sending in the message header, they were all the
same. Also, when I checked the secondary mail archives for this list,
they only picked up a single copy of the original post. So something
strange is going on with the multiple posting, but I don't think it
was because Mike intentionally sent his message multiple times. I
would have commented in a reply, but I couldn't suggest anything
really helpful on his original topic. I'd imagine that he could turn
mouse keys on to move the mouse cursor to places where mouse over
shows up menu items but VoiceOver can't directly navigate to, but I
can't do any checks for the examples he gave, since I don't have
accounts at last.fm and facebook.

Cheers,

Esther

Re: Multiple messages received [was Re: mouseovers and voiceover]

2009-12-22 Thread Esther
Correction: I received 10 copies of the original message -- but only 5
of them came in the first hour before Barry responded with a reply.
You can use option-up arrow or option-down arrow to move to the
previous or next message in the same thread in your mail messages
table, even if you aren't organizing your mail to view by thread. I
just used option-up arrow and counted the instances. This is
decidedly bizarre, but explains why some people were sending annoyed
responses to the list. The last 5 messages came up through nearly two
and half hours from the original post, at intervals of 20-30 minutes.
All had the same sending time.

Cheers,

Esther

Re: mouseovers and voiceover

2009-12-21 Thread Barry Hadder
Hi,

For mouse-overs, all you have to do is move the vo cursor to the mouse over and
move the mouse to the vo and restart vo. The problems you are having are most
likely related to the web page in general. Unfortunately, there are just
situations where cursor tracking just doesn't work.

Hi All, does anyone have any good tips for interacting with mouseovers in

facebook where only the currently selected option gets keyboard focus.
Also, at last.fm where you can highlight an artist in your library and the
delete option appears. In both cases, it does not seem possible to move the
VO cursor to the mouseover options.
 thanks for any thoughts.

Re: mouseovers and voiceover

2009-12-21 Thread Barry Hadder
I just noticed that you can't move vo to the mo.

I still think that it is the page in general as mouse-overs usually work fine
with the exception that restarting vo is necessary to read the new content.

Dude,

Lay off! Multiple postings will not help your cause. This is more
then five postings. People will get back to you with responses when they have
one.
