Hi Cheryl. I know that I can use SamNet with Safari but I prefer using the Socializer as opposed to Adium or Trillion so I have to use Chrome. I actually found a pretty good voice for the Chromevox extension, she never crashes the program at all. Oh, geting back to my socializer comment, the reason why I like using Socializer more is because for some reason with this new update to Growl, if Growl and Voiceover talk at the same time, Voiceover for some reason stops talking. Let me clarify again that there are some things you can do with safari just fine, such as checking and sending mail for instance, and some that will require chrome, though I haven't tried samnet this way yet. It is also possible to receive and send Samnet mail, as I believe John pointed out, on Apple mail and I am also doing this via Alpine in linux on vmware fusion. Mary, you can do SamNet on the Mac if you have Chrome. That was me that sends the messages on the Viphone list that say "Sent From My White MacBook using SamNet." That is a signature that I programmed into it. I would write to this list using SamNet, but for some reason, and I don't know why it's not the case with the Viphone list, but my messages are either delayed or not sent with SamNet. Yes, it's quite possible, for instance, to go to samobile.net in safari, log in, and send email from your samobile.net account. That and quite a few things can be done without whatever is being done experimentally that works in Chrome. Certainly it would be great to have full accessibility on the Mac too but quite a bit can be done in safari and probably in firefox too since it is now somewhat useable. Currently, you can do most things using Chrome on the mac.
