Re: Buying Acapela: This? is driving? me? Crazy!

2013-01-29 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Hi Chris. You won't find anything for the Mac on Acapela's website. The website
that manufactures the Mac version of the Acapela voices is
www.assistiveware.com. There you can download the Infovox Ivox client and buy
the voices that way. HTH.

Actually, rebooting definitely helped tremendously, but it still after about
30 minutes started it's big mouth again.

Actually if you google it's about the fourth or fifth one down and, while
the website you went to does a good job of hiding the information, the
links to that website in google do mention infovox ivox. If you had found
that trail you wouldn't have gotten so frustrated but definitely the
website could have a link to assistiveware somewhere prominent on the
first page!
But hopefully this will take care of it. If you are getting the demo be
sure to do "start demo" before you try to choose it in voiceover.

Re: Buying Acapela: This? is driving? me? Crazy!

2013-01-28 Thread Esther
Hi Chris,

The Assistiveware site still lists Origin Instruments Corporation as a
third party vendor. They were the designated sellers for purchases in
the U.S. and Canada whenI bought Infovox voices. I'll paste in the
contact information for their customer support and the web page URL
for buying the voices at their site.

Origin Instruments customer support:

Voice: 972-606-8740
Fax: 972-606-8741
Email: supp...@orin.com

Address:

Origin Instruments Corporation
854 Greenview Drive
Grand Prairie, TX 75050-2438

Their web page URL for the voices is:
http://www.orin.com/access/infovox_ivox/

HTH. At least you'll have a contact point if you have questions.

Cheers,

Esther
