Re: Tagging for ITunes

2014-10-13 Thread David Griffith
You can edit tag information in iTunes with command I on each track or
album but this is not genuine tag editing but rather an amendment to the
iTunes library database. To consolidate your edits into genuine tag
amendments you need , after you have made your edit, to bring up the
application menu and select something like Convert IDE Tags. I am not on
my Mac at the moment but you should be able to find this option.

If you want more customisation than this you could try IDE Tag
Editor which I believe you can get a demo of from the MacUpdate web site.
It is a paid for product.

Hi,

the tracks on it even if songs originally were on different albums. Does there
exist an app that can do this?

OK so I've been told that if you put the # symbol before a name in an FB
post, that will tag the person. For some reason it only adds a link to the
first word.

Also, when I use the Tag people in your posts feature, it doesn't tag them
but says I'm with them.

What am I doing wrong? :)

Re: tagging people in Facebook

2014-03-16 Thread Jamie Pauls
I was under the impression that the at sign was what you needed to use. Using
jaws for Windows, if you type of person's name, you should see a list box of
suggestions. Pressing enter on that will tag the person. This doesn't seem to
be at all reliable, and I don't find other screen readers able to do this on
windows. It seems I tried it with voiceover on the Mac, and wasn't successful,
but I could be wrong about that.

 Subject: tagging people in Facebook

OK so I've been told that if you put the # symbol before a name in an FB
post, that will tag the person. For some reason it only adds a link to the
 first word.

Also, when I use the Tag people in your posts feature, it doesn't tag them
 but says I'm with them.

What am I doing wrong? :)

Using Safari and Mavericks on the FB Mobile site. Otherwise I love the
 interaction,

 Thanks!

Re: Tagging people and pages on Facebook

2014-02-14 Thread Teresa Cochran
Type in the at symbol (shift-2) immediately followed by the name and press
return. It should give you a name with a link, which will be the tag. You can
edit this to only show the first name, but VO is a little weird with it, so you
might have to interact with the tag text first. Trying to pick a name from the
suggestions is not very reliable.

Hi Donna,

I just tried it. It seems only to work if you've tabbed into the field. So what
seems to work is if you point the voiceover curser on the status field, hit tab
and then shift tab to be entered again onto the status field. Then begin typing
the name, and hit down arrow for the first suggestion.

Hey Brandon,

Thanks, that worked. I hadn't done the Tab and then Shift-tab bit, I guess
that makes the difference. Thanks for sorting that out.
Cheers,
Donna

 Hi Donna,

I just tried it. It seems only to work if you've tabbed into the field. So
what seems to work is if you point the voiceover curser on the status field,
hit tab and then shift tab to be entered again onto the status field. Then
begin typing the name, and hit down arrow for the first suggestion.

can find them under books categories in the source list of iTunes. Although I
have given them the genre audiobook, I can't find the field for author so I
have put the authors name in the artist field. For some reason though, the
books are still listed in the music library but do not feature in the book
library. And when I go into browser under books', I can't find them by
author. They do show though under compilations as I checked that box because
they are two episodes of Buddenbrooks. Why can't I find the field for author
in get info? Does it not exist for audiobooks? Any help is greatly
 appreciated.

By the way, anybody recorded the first episode of Buddenbrooks? I'd missed
it, and iti is no longer available on the iPlayer.

 Best wishes

So I opened vo+u and in the form controls typed [ T A] and sure enough the only

It should also show up under vo+i if you prefer using that!

Ye, I know that way.
But some times (like with operas wich are on lots of CD's), I've got

Therefor I'd like to tag my files correctly before taking them into iTunes.

I use command+i to do individual tracks and command+a then command+i to do
whole albums[ the bits of a album you can do as a multi change that is!]
