Re: Tagging for ITunes
You can edit tag information in iTunes with command I on each track or album but this is not genuine tag editing but rather an amendment to the iTunes library database. To consolidate your edits into genuine tag amendments you need , after you have made your edit, to bring up the application menu and select something like Convert IDE Tags. I am not on my Mac at the moment but you should be able to find this option. If you want more customisation than this you could try IDE Tag Editor which I believe you can get a demo of from the MacUpdate web site. It is a paid for product. Re: tagging people in Facebook
I was under the impression that the at sign was what you needed to use. Using jaws for Windows, if you type of person's name, you should see a list box of suggestions. Pressing enter on that will tag the person. This doesn't seem to be at all reliable, and I don't find other screen readers able to do this on windows. It seems I tried it with voiceover on the Mac, and wasn't successful, but I could be wrong about that. Type in the at symbol (shift-2) immediately followed by the name and press return. It should give you a name with a link, which will be the tag. You can edit this to only show the first name, but VO is a little weird with it, so you might have to interact with the tag text first. Hi Donna, I just tried it. It seems only to work if you've tabbed into the field. Although I have given them the genre audiobook, I can't find the field for author so I have put the authors name in the artist field. Re: tagging people on Facebook?
I believe this was the issue I was talking about when I mentioned a gear menu, apparently a graphic that VO just doesn't seem to want to read, that you have to mouse over for the drop-down. • Mark BurningHawk Baxter • AIM, Skype and Twitter: BurningHawk1969 • MSN: burninghawk1...@hotmail.com • My home page: • http://MarkBurningHawk.net/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group. Re: tagging people on Facebook?
hello Donna: When I'm ready to tag a friend, I put an @ symbol and start typing my friend's name. After a few letters, I VO right twice to get to the list of name (and or pages) that begin with those letters. I interract with the list and mouse-click the desired name. This method didn't work for me the first few times; but, it has proven effective now. It should also show up under vo+i if you prefer using that! hth Colin On 1 Jan 2012, at 13:26, Goodin, Donna wrote: Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a way to tag your friends on FB on the Mac? Re: Tagging audio-files on the Mac...
Hi, Media rage did exactly what I wanted in terms of tag editting, which was basicly everything, but it costed $40. It was a great piece of software, but hard to justify the cost for personal use. Re: Tagging audio-files on the Mac...
Hi Colin. Ye, I know that way. But some times (like with operas wich are on lots of CD's), I've got tracks that wasn't correct tagged, since they didn't have the correct album number. Therefor I'd like to tag my files correctly before taking them into iTunes. Den 21.11.2010 20:32, skrev Colin M: Hi David! Ok I do not know what tags you want to do! But in Itunes you can change a lot of the tags no need for any other software! Even cds you have imported you can change the tag info you get from the net! I've changed a lot of mine to the way I like it! I use command+i to do individual tracks and command+a then command+i to do whole albums[ the bits of a album you can do as a multi change that is!] hth Colin On 21 Nov 2010, at 16:56, David Hole wrote: Hi folks. Re: Tagging audio-files on the Mac...
Hi David. I use a program called id3 editor. You can find it here. http://www.pa-software.com/products/overview.php?prod=BC3B2E3A Unfortunately it isn't free. There may be free solutions now, but when I first needed to do this in 2006, this was all I could find. HTH. Darcy On 2010-11-21, at 11:56 AM, David Hole wrote: Hi folks.
