Re: VM Fusion 5 Pro and Windows 7
I'll be watching this thread with interest. I'm about to do the very same thing in order to use my windows7 bootcamp partition in a VM. BTW: why the Professional version of VMWare fusion? isn't the standard version adequate - even recommended for home use? - Original Message - From: "Angus Mackinnon" To: Sent: Wednesday, May 22, 2013 1:45 PM Subject: VM Fusion 5 Pro and Windows 7 I have a 256 GB SSD divided in half. Partition One is Windows 7 Professional 64bit and Partition Two is Mountain Lion 10.82 upgraded to 10.83. I have grown a little tired of the dual boot. I purchased VM Fusion 5 Pro from the VMWare Website, downloaded the program and installed it. How do I get VM Fusion 5 Pro to recognize the 128GB Windows 7 Professional 64bit Partition? I am using an Intel i7 CPU. Re: VM Fusion 5
Hello, one thing you might be interested to know, is that on the fusion five you valuation download page you will find a license key there. Also the company has indicated to me via email that due to the overwhelming response as they put it to both the release of version 5, they have had some server problems as they relate to the downloading of the evaluation product. So if you don't, and are unable to download it it is just simply demand. Sincerely Maurice Mines. Note I'm using outlined to dictate this message. So if portions of the email, are not very understandable. It is a result of either the software, or the dictation process. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Re: VM Fusion 5
Hi, Has anyone using VMWare Fusion 5 had any issues with focus? When I command-tab away from VMWare Fusion, it seems like I need to click the track pad before I can "alt-tab" between my Windows programs, like Kurzweil and my desktop. I am running Fusion in full-screen mode. Thanks, Harry On Aug 26, 2012, at 11:34 AM, Paul Hunt wrote: > Thanks I'll give it a try. I have a couple of questions. Thanks I'll give it a try. I have a couple of questions. First, for some reason I can no longer bring up the menu bar with the vo m command. Any idea why? I have a late 2009 mac mini with 4gigs of memory. I allocated 2 gigs for Windows 7 and 2 gigs for mountain Lion. Is this a reasonable configuration? Thanks so much.
