You may not directly to the place of purchase, but try. If that fails, contact
Microsoft because you do have a valid issue.

hello; glad we could help chase away some of the clouds. open office
isn't perfect and it won't be just like the windows one you are used
to; but they do seam to be continuing to develop it and make it more
and more accessible. You might want to check the list archives for
open office posts. good luck, max

Hi everyone. i was just curious if i am having a technical glitch in
my computing or if i'm just doing something wrong (most likely the
second situation is the case.) I just installed MS office for mac
and

opened microsoft word to try it out. Whenever i type, VO doesn't
recognize it meaning it doesn't speak what i have typed or it
doesn't

speak the letters as they are being pressed although sighted people
can see my typing on the screen. Instead, if i move around with the
arrow keys, i am shown the tool bars and whatever else is on the
screen for MS word except the text of the document. VO speaks what i
type everywhere else but here so i am supposing i might have
forgotten

to hit some command. Is there a anyway to fix this? thanks again :-)

Word is not accessible on the Mac. You can thank Microsoft for this problem as
they have not seen fit to make the MS Office suite accessible. Oh and I suspect
they won't bother, but gee it would b nice if they did. GIve me another reason
to ditch windows at work.
Well I at least will have a new MBP next week with windows as a VM. My employer
sure is good to me. :)
