Re: SnowLeopard and the Dock

2009-09-18 Thread Simon Cavendish
Hello,

Under Snow Leopard in the Dock, once you land on the icon of the
application you wish to change features for, press vo+shift+m and the
menu will open for you. You will hear a characteristic sound. The menu
has somewhat changed in that you get "open submenu" and then you need
to expand it with arrow key and there you have yur usual options.

Best wishes, Simon

hey,
to add items to your dock in sl you have to arrow down to the options
submenu and in there there will be a keep in dock option. it's a bit
hidden now but still there!

SnowLeopard and the Dock

2009-09-18 Thread Mitchell Smith
Hi,

A feature that I frequently used in Leopard seems to no longer be available in
SnowLeopard.

I like to put commonly used applications in the Dock for quick access, for me
this means things like Adium, Terminal and VMWare Fusion.

In Leopard after launching an app I used to be able to down-arrow on it's dock
item and select Keep in Dock or Open at Logon, however I no longer seem to be
able to do this.

I have noticed for pre-existing Dock items such as Photo Booth I can up-arrow
on them and under options I can select Remove from Dock, however up-arrow
doesn't seem to do anything on newly opened applications.

Has anyone found a work around for this yet?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Cheers,

Mitch
