Re: Spanish Braille tables

2009-09-17 Thread Anne Robertson

Hello Lindsay,

My husband has started work on Spanish Braille tables. We already have
the Spanish tables from WindowEyes but the JAWS tables would be very
useful should yu have them.

Cheers,

Anne

I haven't done this yet, but apparently you have to upload the books
to a server, then download them to your iPhone using the Read2Me app.
The books have to be in plain text.

 2. do you know if there are other tts languages , i.e. italian o
 russian ?
No, the only TTS language is English, but your iPhone voice can read
the text. Unfortunately, when you use the iPhone voice, you can't use
the Play/Pause control.

It would be worth contacting the developer to ask for other languages
since the app uses the Acapela voices.

The developer is David Hoofnagle and contact details can be found on
this page:

Hi Anne,

Would it be possible to send you the Braille tables for JAWS? If so,
do you know howI owuld go about doing this? And do you know if they
differ from the Windows tables in terms of how the Mac would recognize
characters? Thanks!

Don't worry, someone has already sent them.

We're going on holiday tomorrow for ten days, but when we get back,
we'll get on to Spanish.
Cheers,

Anne

Re: Spanish Braille tables

2009-09-16 Thread Justin Harford

Hi Lindsay

If you can find any Spanish braille tables that show the different
symbols for Spanish braille, there is a couple on this list who can
make Spanish braille tables available. For example, you could find
the tables in JAWS and send them out to Anne Robertson, who is on this
list. Here is the address Anne Robertson a...@anarchie.org.uk

J
