iOS 9.2 Beta, KNFB 2.6. I think that’s the latest. Let me try playing around to see how I got my setting to stick. > On Nov 1, 2015, at 6:22 AM, Christopher-Mark Gilland > wrote: > > Huh! Weird. Re: Uh, guys? We've got a problem with KNFB Reader for I O S.
seems to be a bug; as if you go to settings and change the default reading rate, once you close KNFB out of the app switcher the speaking rate returns to 20% The way i’ve found to get around this is to either #1 adjust reading rate when first opening app (not ideal but doable) or #2, just keep knob in the app switcher and it seems to work when you don’t close it. best. Re: Uh, guys? We've got a problem with KNFB Reader for I O S.
I’m not sure exactly when it started in the KFB Reader, but I suspect it was with the release of IOS 9. At that time I needed to use a web site for a purchase and when prompted to update my credit card info (i.e. experation month and year) using picker buttons, it would not work. Other people on the IDevices list said they have had the problem with the picker buttons ... same type of thing as in KFB Reader where you need to double tap then flick up/down to change/select a value. Its just not working. In all honesty, I have not had a reason to try updating credit card info again, but I doubt its been fixed since so many other things are working crappily. Eileen From: M. Hello, I, too, am experiencing this problem. The thing is, I don't see how to set a new default speech rate. If such a mechanism exists, then we'd be in business. Was it possible to set a new speech rate previously? Yes, exactly the same problem I was having with it this afternoon while trying to scan a few pages from a book. It's actually 20% and it seems to reset itself each time. I'm calling this a major bug. Re: Uh, guys? We've got a problem with KNFB Reader for I O S.
I noticed exactly the same thing. On the very right, there is a slider that let's you adjust the speaking rate. However, I noticed that, every time I open the KNFB reader, the speed goes back to 20% (twenty percent). That means that I have to adjust it every single time. It makes no difference whether I adjust it in the settings menu or on the fly. Y'all, this has just got to be fixed. Uh, guys? We've got a problem with KNFB Reader for I O S.
Guys, we have a problem. I just opened up the KNFB Reader app on my IPhone 6S, and went to scan a document. The scan was fine, considering the content I was scanning, however the female voice that reads the material was obviously on Ambian or something, as she was so darn slow that it wasn't funny! Put your Iphone to about 10% speaking rate... there you pretty much have it. How in the world do I adjust this?
