I had a problem when going to install where the dmg file wouldn't open. It said unrecognized file type or something to this effect. I may try redownloading and trying again. I installed vlc today on my mini with Snow Leopard and it does seem to stutter at the beginning of a song. Does anyone know if there is a buffer setting somewhere? Snow Leopard boots into 32-bit by default so if it works great. Perhaps i will upgrade when all the applications I use are compatible. Hello James, This blog entry is not saying that the current version of VLC does not work with Snow Leopard, but that the developer's 64-bit version does not yet work with Snow Leopard and cannot therefore be released yet. VLC 1.0.1 works fine with Snow Leopard. Please don't post worrying messages like this when you're unable to test their validity yourself. People have a tendency to overreact. Hi Realplayer has a Mac version. It worked on MacOs 105, I haven't tried on SL but I am assuming it should work as well. It is free to download from www.real.com.
