Re: selecting multiple items not in order?

2012-10-07 Thread Phil Halton
one slight correction, after interacting with the list or table, Pressing
VO+Command+space selects/deselects the items. Move to the next item you want
with VO up/down arrow and press VO+Command+space to select it. VO+Space will
not select the item.

you need to interact with the list or column.
  Then use control+command+option and space.
Next use vo+down arrow to the items you want to select and space with each
one.

  Thanks.

Re: selecting multiple items not in order?

2012-10-07 Thread Alex Hall
Also, hitting any arrow key by itself (not with the vo keys) will de-select
everything and let you start over. This also means that, if you forget yourself
and start arrowing around without the vo keys, as I sometimes do, you will undo
your selecting.

selecting multiple items not in order?

2012-10-06 Thread Nicholas Parsons
Use the control-option-command-space keystroke. I typically need to press it
once to get started and then press it once on each item I wish to select. If
you wish to deselect an item you have selected, simply press the same
keystroke, control-option-command-space on the item again. You can use VO-F6 to
check which items are selected before you copy, cut etc.

I've never done this, but isn't there something about disabling cursor tracking
in there somewhere? I'm not sure, but I thought people had talked about it in
the past. Also, as a hint, vo-f6 will speak all the selected items so you can
confirm what you selected before doing anything with the items.
