[maemo-developers] gtkmm and scratchbox: Gtk::DrawingArea problem (drawings not showing)
Hi, I'm trying to build simple drawing app for Nokia 770 IT2006 but here's the problem: When compiling and running some example, like this http://www.gtkmm.org/gtkmm2/docs/tutorial/html/ch14s03.html#id2524813 it goes well but just doesn't draw anything on Xephyr emulator, just blank window. Compiling and running in normal Debian Sarge is fine, I can see those lines drawn. The problem seems to be related to on_expose_event() which is not called as I testes by debug printing in it. I can't use cairo as I have to use glibmm 2.8.9. (Can't find any cairo libs in maemo repos either?) I can load and display and png image and run hello world gtkmm apps in sbox, so it seems to be working, but I'm really stuck with the drawing and I need to draw dots or circles on the image (a map) I'm showing. Any suggestions? I'm new to gtk+ and gtkmm so if any questions please ask. ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
[maemo-developers] Mortar game for 770
Hi, I have ported my Mortar (two player artillery) game to 770. You can get the sources and a binary package from here: http://koti.mbnet.fi/tammat/open.shtml#mortar The source package contains a small script that makes from a Makefile based project a Maemo compatible Debian package without a need to learn, add debug any Debian or Autotools bloat to your project. You still need to create the .desktop and icon files and your SW needs to have sensible install Makefile target though, the script does just packaging. (Please read the script before using it, it has a couple of hardcoded items like package author which you need to change) - Eero ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers

How would you like bug reports/RFEs - by email? What the Application manager does is more similar to apt-get install. It will not upgrade the system packages automatically theway apt-get upgrade does. If upgrading is not meant for consumers, why is that broken package in the maemo repository? Shouldn't it be in sardine? I mean, what's the point on having updated packages? You are spot on. This is chaos and the mistral repositories should not contain the broken packages. They need to be fixed and/or reverted to the same version that is in the IT2006 flash image. People here are aware of this... (and also appropriately embarrassed). :) For the record I was hit too and hopefully found help on #maemo so I could get out of the reboot cycles. I did not realize that the application manager wasn't doing the same things as apt-get upgrade until too late. When the mistral repositories are fixed, what's the best course, apt-get upgrade again? (I do it through ssh from my regular PC.) Thanks in advance, Laurent ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
