Re: [maemo-developers] Scratchbox on OSX
I forgot to mention that I want to do this on an intel iMac, not the PPC. On Sep 30, 2006, at 1:05 AM, Michael DeCaro wrote: Has anyone successfully setup the Maemo scratchbox on OSX 10.4? I have found that this assertion failure is caused by a uninitialized variable in libc. The attached patch fixes the problem. Best Regards, Rafael libc.patch Description: Binary data ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
Re: [maemo-developers] RE: sorry, i forgot the title, it's a newbie question(no new mesage in here)
2006/9/29, 박영훈 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: [on 770] So, my first question is how I can excute commands about usbnet configurations like 'insmod g_ether..' or 'vi edit /etc/network/interfaces' . You need to have the osso-xterm installed for those (you can find it in http://maemo.org/maemowiki/ApplicationCatalog2006) [on PC] After running 'ifup usb0', I got a error list like below.. SIOCSIFADDR: No such device usb0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device SIOCSIFBRDADDR: No such device usb0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device usb0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device Failed to bring up usb0. The cable needs to be connected (both ends ;) in order to bring the interface up in the PC end. Also I think the 770 needs to have the g_ether module loaded at that point (so the PC sees the ethernet-cabable device in the USB bus). -- Kalle Vahlman, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Powered by http://movial.fi Interesting stuff at http://syslog.movial.fi ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers

IThe machine itself and an usb cable, and a power cable, I have only those things( no extra CDs, or no more cables). I have a little experience about linux and found the maemo site. So I installed Debian 2.6.8 and checked 770 detected as a USB storage disk It’s ok, detected, but showed as an empty disk. But after that, I can’t proceed any more. I think I must setting up usbnet function followed by the tutorial in maemo.org, “Set up USB networking with Debian” (http://maemo.org/maemowiki/HowToSetUpUsbNetworkingDebian) But after reading some lines, I realized i don’t know how I can excute and edit the configuration on the device(770 machine) I checked that machine if I could find some editors or shell programs to run commands but couldn’t find. So, my first question is how I can excute commands about usbnet configurations like ‘insmod g_ether..’ or ‘vi edit /etc/network/interfaces’ . The another problem is on PC side, I can’t set up usb0 interface. First I loaded the usbnet moulde and edited /etc/network/interfaces file as the tutorial. After running ‘ifup usb0’, I got a error list like below..
