[maemo-users] TuxPaint for Nokia 770 2006 edition, released
My children really missed it, so after receiving no answer from the 2005 port author,I decided to go my own way.Port status I've just changed 2 or 3 lines and packaged all.Program is working, but non yet hildonized. Bugs When the user press the hardware Home button, TuxPaint continues to run in the background and the user must kill it through a terminal with killall -9 tuxpaint or reset the device. I've tried unsuccessfully differente approachs (libosso), if you know how to solve this, please let me know. Re: [maemo-users] 2006 OS USB host not working for me
ext Richard Griffiths wrote: I've purchased the cp-h420mp hub and special y cable for USB host mode (links below), but I must be doing something wrong. Running 2006 OS I flashed the --enable-usb-host-mode which reported: The device is now in USB host mode I've charged up the hub's batteries, but connecting the hub using the y-cable isn't showing up. I've tried connecting a usb flash drive to the hub as well as a usb keyboard, but nothing shows. I confirmed the hub and cable work on a PMA400, but that device does provide power to the USB port. When connected to the 770, no leds light on the hub. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? You should provide +5V power from hub to 770 to get it detecting usb device connected. Personally i did it so that i just soldered small wire inside of hub over diaode that has purpose to prevent hub suplying power back to host. In this case suplying power to host was intentional. [maemo-users] mounting ext2
Hello I formated a small rs-mmc with ext2 filesystem. I believe that it is much more reliable than vfat which seems to be a standard filesystem for mmc (even on an linux powered device -- very strange ;-). After loading the kernel module as root: insmod /mnt/initfs/lib/modules/2.6.16-omap1/ext2.ko and mounting the mmc manually: mount /dev/mmcblk0 /media/mmc1 it worked well. However I noticed that the n770 seems to expect vfat formated mmc since it did not show the ext2 formated mmc in the build in filemanager and complained about a corrupt mmc. Question is: How can I convince n770 to also accept ext2 formated mmc as well as vfat including support for swap file? There must be a tweak, eh?
