[Mageia-dev] advisories for rpmdrake
this bug report has been lying around for too long: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2223 ( rpmdrake doesn't show advisories) apparently it's pretty easy and the descriptions file just needs to be modified by the people who push the update. (is this sysadmin?) i think we just need to put this in the policy and have the people who push it put the advisory in this descriptions file on the mirrors. the only question i have is how does this get onto the mirrors? is there an svn file we can just modify so that the advisories become available? in any case, i'm planning on putting this in the policy once and for all, so that this minor bug is finally resolved. any objections?

That might have been the original culprit for mga#5362 (missing icons causes Pinta to crash) https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5362 and possibly others under minimal environments. Thanks, Should not be the issue, since oxygen-gtk falls back on gnome icon theme. And gnome should provide all icons necessary for gtk apps. In fact I fear the issue is the opposite. With the flag above, the fallback is not set (programatically) anymore by oxygen-gtk and you add to set it manually in some gtk specific config file. If you use oxygen icons in your non KDE DE, and don't add the gnome fallback, then you will miss some (non-standard) icons. Hugo

Did you report that 3.3.1 worked and 3.3.3 stopped working? Anyway, checking commit logs between upstream 3.3.1 and 3.3.3 shows one commit that specifically touches the module you use... So can you try kernel-3.3.4-1.1.mga2 from: http://tmb.mine.nu/Mageia/Cauldron/bugs/3.3.4-rtlwifi-revert/ http://tmb2.mine.nu/Mageia/Cauldron/bugs/3.3.4-rtlwifi-revert/ If that works, you can ping upstream that: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=commit;h=eb641120479de7ee703fabb5e6ee0ec7947474ba broke your wireless. -- Thomas
[Mageia-dev] Freeze push: tmpwatch
It's a minor fix in /etc/sysconfig/tmpwatch to get rid of the cron.daily messages: "error: bad time argument /tmp/.XIM-unix". -- Sander
