Steps taken:
1. Add a person
2. Go through the form to add an admin account for myself.
3. Selected 'General account options' to check settings
4. Switch on 'Multiple journals'
5. Go back to main page

Expected:
Settings are saved and I can add the account

Screenshots available - currently on the device.
NB: Currently assigned to 20.10RC2, however not confirmed regression.

Title:
Increase base font size, update heading levels, use rem, and increase
  width

Status in Mahara:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
As part of our accessibility review, we are going to increase the base
font size from 14px to 16px. In addition, there are some elements that
do not yet have font size variables. They will be changed to allow for
  flexibility.

We'll also need to review the line height at the same time and the
hover background and whether and if so where we are going to keep it.
UX will be needed for that.

All these changes are to be looked at alongside the WCAG 2.1
  guidelines after 20.10.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1896347] Re: Image Gallery Refactor

2020-09-30 Thread Lisa Seeto
** Description changed:

- http://developer.photobucket.com is not available any more and it looks
- like that it's not possible to use API keys with Photobucket these days
- as the help centre doesn't have anything. An online search didn't
- produce anything of note on the Photobucket site.
-
- It might be time to decommission this image gallery option.
-
- We should also check the other external image gallery options and see if
- they still work at the same time.
+ The Image Gallery block is out-of-date and in need of a refactor. The
external galleries currently supported will need to be investigated as to
whether they are still usable. If they are no longer needed, we will
decommission the following form the block configuration:
+ Remove the options for 'Display images from external gallery'
+ Remove the options to display 'Thumbails' (we will now only need "Thumbnails
(Square) and Slideshow)
+ Remove the 'user photo frame option'
+ Remove the 'width' option (we are using gridstack now)

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1885664] Re: Add YouTube-nocookie to youTube filtered URLs and make it a config setting

After offline discussion, we will adjust the way that future YouTube
links are created at the block level. An upgrade step will be added to
alter existing URLs to use the no-cookie address.

Title:
Add YouTube-nocookie to youTube filtered URLs and make it a config
  setting

Status in Mahara:
  In Progress

Bug description:
Google automatically tracks anyone viewing an embedded a YouTube
video. There is a solution to be GDPR compliant: It's to use youtube-
  nocookie.com

  See https://dri.es/how-to-remove-youtube-tracking for the background.

It would be good to include that URL as default in our 'Allowed iframe
  sources' list.

Furthermore, since we want to be GDPR compliant / need to in certain
circumstances, I wonder if we should make it a default in the
config.php that system admins can say that all YouTube videos should
be converted to the nocookie URL (would need to be regular YouTube
URLs as well as ones from mobile devices and the YouTube shortened
ones I guess). We already convert the URL into proper iframe code and
  could add that as regex.

It would be good to have it available in the site admin area but also
be able to override it in the config.php so that site admins can't
easily change things. The default would be nocookie to comply better
  with privacy from the start.

We may need to have a button to update all URLs (like we have for
clean URLs when they are set for the first time) if we can't make that
conversion on the fly. YouTube URLs appear in the 'Embedded media'
block as well as in serialised text in journal entries, text blocks,
and notes. That serialised text might be difficult to change. This is
important for sites that would be switching from the regular to the
  nocookie URL.

If we make it a setting and someone changes from nocookie URL to
regular YouTube URL then we are not updating all URLs though in case
someone had set the nocookie URL specifically. The update would only
  be for YouTube -> YouTube-nocookie.

  Steps:
  1. Log in as an account holder that has authored at least one page.
  2. Display the page and use the 'More options' to turn the Timeline
functionality on
  3. Select to 'Save to timeline' (note: page has a text block & an image block
side by side then underneath that there are two external media blocks next to
each other).
  4. Add another block to the page (used a folder block underneath the smaller
external media block).
  5. Select to view the timeline (first dot selected) and scroll down to view
the page.

Expected results: the page content displays as it does in display

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1897981] [NEW] Leap2A import shows Countable error

2020-09-30 Thread Rebecca Blundell
Public bug reported:

Using QA Mahara with the following settings on Windows:
PHP 7.4
Postgres 10.9
Skins enabled
Individual themes enabled
Pre-populated data
Maroon theme
Chrome

Steps taken:
1. Log in as a regular person
2. Import a leap2a file

Expected:
You see:
Your portfolio was imported successfully

Actual
The portfolio imports, but there is the following error, which was a PHP 7.2
change to count()(see screenshot):

[DBG] f7 (import/leap/lib.php:1774) Warning: fixref was expecting one artefact
to have been imported by entry portfolio:artefact110 but seems to have gotten 0

This needs some investigation to see what the $artefact variable contains at
the time count is called on it:
 $artefacts = $this->get_artefactids_imported_by_entryid($hrefsrc);
if (is_null($artefacts) || count($artefacts) != 1) {
// This can happen if a Leap2A xml file is uploaded that refers to
// files that (naturally) weren't uploaded with it.
log_debug("Warning: fixref was expecting one artefact to have been
imported by entry {$hrefsrc} but seems to have gotten " . count($artefacts));
return $hrefsrc;

It looks like it probably contains a number, which won't work with PHP
7.2 and later, it needs to be an array or object from memory. For more
info see: https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.count.php

Note: have not tested on 20.04 to see if this is a regression.

Bug 1895201 Docker images for Mahara

This commit adds docker images for building, testing and running Mahara.
The images are:
- mahara-base, has packages that are needed to both run and test Mahara.
Base of an ubuntu base image.
- mahara-builder, image to be used for building and testing Mahara. Extends
mahara-base and adds packages needed for building and testing

already been built) baked into it.

Things to note:
- The configuration in the docker images is driven by environment variables.
htdocs/config-environment.php is a config file variant that will look for
config in from the environment variables else fall back to a default value.
This file is copied to config.php as part of creating the mahara image.
- The mahara image only has support for http. If https is required (which is
recommended) then this should be done by adding a reverse proxy whose job
is to terminate the https.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1897676] Re: Entire resume block - debug information displayed

2020-09-30 Thread Rangi Daymond
Bug Re-confirmed - retested in my local Postregres environment using
Win10-Edge.

Please see attached screenshot. The number of messages (only 12 this
time) displayed seem to be related to how much data is present in the
resume (only standard first page of details entered - the previous
screen shot shows the result when most resume fields were populated).

** Attachment added: "Win10 Edge - Retest Entire resume block - debug
information displayed repeated.png"

  New

Bug description:
Environment: cloud instance MYSQL 8.0 PHP7.4
  Browser: Win10 Edge

Precondition: account holder has a well populated Résumé

  Steps:

  3. Add a 'My entire résumé' block to the page with title 'My Résumé' & Save
  4. Resize the block to fill the page width

underneath all the messages is the block title and its content. Please see the
two attached screen shots; first a screen grab & second a full screen shot
pasted

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1897829] Re: 20.10RC1: Choosing details in image gallery opens a blank modal

2020-09-30 Thread Rebecca Blundell
I have done some more investigation and confirmed this as a regression:
In 20.04_STABLE the modal opens with the images and download links (see
screenshot).

Inspecting the html shows no difference, but the request repsonse from
opening the modal shows the following console error in 20.10:

error_class "ParameterException"
error_message "The 'artefactid' parameter is not an integer"
error_rendered "A required parameter is missing or malformed\n\nThe

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1897676] Re: Entire resume block - debug information displayed

2020-09-30 Thread Kristina Hoeppner
These are not errors bug debug information. I suspect that is due to the
setup of the site as it injects data.

Please re-test on a different site that was set up normally. It is most
likely not an issue in Mahara, but the way the DB was set up.

  Steps taken:

Log in as a member of an institution (member1)
Add a comment to page and a rating of 6 thumbs up
  Save the comment.

  Expected:

No thumbs up are filled in.

  Additional steps:
Share the page with their institution
Log in as another institution member (member2)
  View member1's page

  Expected:

  Actual:
  No thumbs up displayed

  Additional steps:
Add a comment and rate it 10 thumbs up.
  The rating was not displayed.

I also re-logged in as admin and changed the rating system to 6 purple stars.
Again, the purple stars always appeared empty on the page, despite the number
of stars being saved correctly in the edit comment screen.

Title:
Comment ratings don't appear filled in

Status in Mahara:
  New

Bug description:
Using QA Mahara with the following settings on Windows:
  PHP 7.4
  Postgres 10.9
  Skins enabled
  Individual themes enabled
  Pre-populated data

  Maroon theme

  Steps taken:
  Log in as admin
Enable comment ratings in Extensions - comment (12 thumbs up)
Log in as a member of an institution (member1)
Add a comment to page and a rating of 6 thumbs up
  Save the comment.

  Expected:
6 thumbs up displayed on page

  Actual:
No thumbs up are filled in.

  Additional steps:
Share the page with their institution
Log in as another institution member (member2)
  View member1's page

  Expected:
6 thumbs up displayed on comment
