Pilot error. I confused verify.txt with invite.txt. Everything works
as described in the FAQ. :o

Yup. All your existing lists are there.

Hmm. Another thing to keep in mind is that sometimes there are
two different ways to provide the same information -- via a field in
the admin web interface, or via a template. If the field in the
admin web interface has anything at all in it (even just a single
space character), I believe that will over-ride the contents of the
template.

I'm not sure if this is the case for the verify.txt template, I'd
have to check the code. Meanwhile, you might want to look at your
list configuration and see if there might be any conflicts there.

Well assuming that the lists directory is preexisting, then I'm
putting it in the only lists directory I have, which is
/var/lib/mailman/lists//en/

and that doesn't work.

I know. :) I restart mailman with mailmanctl after modifying the files
and there's no change.

The standard Mailman location is
/usr/local/mailman/lists//en/verify.txt.

If someone has taken Mailman and modified it for your platform,
they may have chosen a different directory structure. In that case,
you should contact whatever group or person modified the Mailman
installation for your platform.

One thing to consider is that these files are only read on
startup. You need to use bin/mailmanctl to stop and then restart the
qrunner processes, in order to pick up changes in the template files.
