Glad to know I’m not the only one who this was happening to!

I think in my case something very simple ... at least it hasn't happened
since I "fixed" it.

I use two virtual screens (Desktops in macOS speak) and for some reason
Little Snitch started to pop up connection dialogs on the screen I
rarely visit. When I noticed I had a couple of dialogs that had timed
out. I don't know if this was the reason but once I restarted my Mac to
get LS to place to dialogs on the active screen and since then
everything has worked just fine.

I still don't know if this was the real problem but ...

All the recent updates are essentially betas, which you only get if you
press the alt-key while checking for updates. Even though I use the
updates they have been a mixed bag - only to be expected for betas –
with some improvements and some regressions.

that caused my problems, but I'm not sure.

"OK, something is blocking the ports that Mailmate uses to talk to the

connect at all. Also, if I quit Mailmate and launch it again
everything works just fine.

I haven't touched the OS in any way and it only seem to affect
Mailmate, does anyone have a suggestion for what the cause could be?
