But regardless: Makes perfect sense: We want to be sure that you "own" that domain you are signing your emails with before we send you reports. And we really, really want you to authenticate your emails. The fact that we also block bad IPs has nothing to do with that... - Marcel ___ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop

Yahoo's Feedback Loop is DomainKey based, but their blocking is IP based. At least that's how it used to be. Never made much sense to me to have an FBL based on DomainKeys, meaning every domain name that sends from an IP address has to have a registered feedback loop based on the DomainKey. All of the other FBLs are IP based. There's a chance your customer is using Apple Mail (desktop) or Samsung Mail. Is it an actual ARF report you get as part of our FBL/CFL program Hi Marcel, My understanding is that it's an ARF report: This is an email abuse report for an email message from themsgctr.com on Fri, 7 Jan 2022 16:38:11 + The weird thing is that it came ~10 seconds after that email was sent. So I'm wondering if maybe it's automated. Or my customer has superhuman spam-reporting capabilities ;) Best, Douglas ___ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop

I get a Yahoo FBL report for a messgage sent to a mailing list, a very benign one about folk dancing, I figure the person wants to unsubscribe, I remove them. Then they complain that they're not getting their mail and swear they never hit the junk button. These are very non-technical users and I was never able to figure out whether they are just confused about what the buttons are or there is something that is pushing the buttom for them. Is it an actual ARF report you get as part of our FBL/CFL program or is it something else? If it's the former, we suggest telling your customer to not hit "Report as Spam" on email they want to receive. There are quite a few users who bulk report emails, hit the wrong buttons and ignore and confirm various warnings and confirmation dialogs. There's only so much you can do without annoying the majority of other users. - Marcel ___ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
