[mailop] OVH Strasbourg suffers major fire
Morning all Some of you may have seen that OVH has suffered a catastrophic fire in one of their datacentre locations in Strasbourg. The CEO has written that one datacentre is destroyed, one partially damaged, and several others offline due to electrical isolation. All staff, thankfully, have been accounted for and are safe. Hopefully nobody on the list has been directly affected. Many of us will be indirectly affected due to the volume of sites they host, and many more may see web apps not functioning as bits of them are also hosted there. From a mailop perspective, whilst this may seem a bit dark, I’d be interested to see whether this creates a (however brief!) downturn in hostility, spam and scams.
