Yeah... And startup errors...

I think I remember seeing this problem when the php session save
directory wasn't writable, or something like that?

Are you running SQLExpress or full SQL Server? If it is Express then the
service name needs to SERVERNAME\SQLEXPRESS, if it is Full SQL then just the
SERVERNAME... The datastore field automatically populates after you hit the
login button and successfully login.

I create a trigger in SQL Server to replace char(10) and char(13) with a

[mapguide-users] Map Inconsistencies. Is it a Network\Server Issue??

2009-11-13 Thread durrrr

Hi,

We are having a great deal of difficulties with the consistency of layers,
points and searches on our map.

It seems works perfectly 10 times but then suddenly things stop working such
as search's or suddenly the map wont display at all.
Because these issues are intermittent i can think of no other explanation
other than slow network\Server.
Currently we have a map with 55 layers (os, raster, point, line) it is
running on a Windows server using Apache, we have a seperate server for our
maps and it is being viewed over the internet.
If anyone can help or suggest anything i would appreciate it!

(I am relativly new to the whole mapping development role so simplified
questions are appreciated!)

Thanks in advance

Yes, oracle provider support also 11g.

Manav:
I would like do know version of MapGuide Server and version of provider used?
For FDO 3.3 there are two kind of providers, for instant oracle client and for
oracle client.

for SERVICE NAME enter:
1. if you use Oracle instant client use (as Zac answered) oracle easy connect

2. if you use Oracle client than enter your oracle Service name specified in
client

SCHEMA (optional parameter)
"OracleSchema" determines if all raws from ALL_SDO_GEOM_METADATA will be used
or just rows with Owner equal to "OracleSchema"

KINGFDOCLASS (optional parameter)
if you want that provider uses additional Oracle Table to describe FDO classes.

To connect you need username, password and valid service name.
