Two questions: - Can I execute queries (ex: 'city=new york') to Mapguide from OpenLayers? - Can I edit fields into dbf in a shp file from Mapguide/Maestro/Fusion/OpenLayer? Yes, It's temporary. It's my first incursion on OpenLayers, and watching the examples, I think the best method is OpenLayers.Layer.Markers. I want to show a bitmap, not a vector format. I get it works changing the slash with backslash: File=c:/georest/data/Sheboygan/Parcels.sdf;ReadOnly=TRUE; Anocher problem was ReadOnly=FALSE. I have a problem with this point with Windows Server 2003 SP2. 4. Under 'rest' virtual directory properties set Application Protection to Low(IIS Process). Then click Configuration button to add new Application Mapping setting the wildcard to .* and pointing to C:\GeoRest\bin\GeoRest_ISAPI.dll. Make sure to uncheck Check that file exists check box. I think you can use Mapguide OS 2.2 with Studio from ME 2011. You can serve a feature source like a wms layer, and load it from Google Earth. It's easy (relatively). I think I successfully installed Mapguide on Debian 5 . When I start the httpd daemon on /usr/local/mapguideopensource-2.2.0/webserverextensions/apache2/bin all works, but the traffic come from htdocs. Any idea? Another question: How can I get .ecw support on linux? (compiling)... Ok, any help to compiling, please or anyone who has compiled libraries. I can't get measure tool works correctly. I need measure distances in meters with coord. system EPSG:23030, but the distances are measured incorrectly. real distance: 2276 m obtained distance: 5690617 m The Map resource is set to EPSG:23030. The ApplcacionDefinition have the tag set to meters. I think the point is that I need to think any way to support accents. I think to change any instance of a vocal with a '_' to say the sql sentence to accept any character. So, 'ESPIRITU SANTO' = '_SP_R_T_ S_NT_' and should show us 'ESPIRITU SANTO' AND 'ESPíRITU SANTO'. I found this tutorial before this topic, but doesn't work. Anyway, I changed the OS to a Windows 2003 Server 32 bits. An updated tutorial will be apreciated.
