MI Save File dialogue not working
Dear Mappers, I have an unusual problem. I'm running v4.5 on Win95 (that's gotta be an unusual problem right there, but that's another story). Anyway, after I've had MI open for about 5 min, my Open Table dialog will no longer display. I try from the main toolbar and via File>Open Table - nothing. Same thing with my Save Table dialog. All I can do is exit MI and re-launch the program. After that, everything works OK until about 5 min later, when the same thing starts happening again. This seems to be happening only with MI. MS Orifice works OK, as do many other apps. Is this a problem with: OS? Hardware? MI? MI image registration terms defined
Dear Mappers Does anyone know where I can find a good explanation of the various levels of image registration, i.e. geocoded, georeferenced, orthorectified, etc.? MI Automating polygon creation
Dear mappers, In the next weeks I'll be receiving several thousand aerial imagery scenes. I'd like to make an index map in MI for determining which scenes cover specific geographic points I have the following information: · scene dims (1500 x 1000 meters) · scene center point · aircraft heading I'm hoping to find a way around manually creating a rectangular polygon for each scene (there are way too many for this to be practical) Can I "automatically" generate a few thousand rectangles of specified dimensions with centroids coming from x and y coordinate columns in a table? Perhaps a Set Object Create Rectangle (centroid x, centroid y) sort of thing? Furthermore, can I then rotate each polygon based on a heading value contained in another column? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Hans Vidkjer -- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
