MI MapXtreme NT and Netscape Browser
Dear MI Gurus, We had developed an application on MapXtreme for NT using ASP. Everything works fine with Internet Explorer 4.5 and above. But, we found out that the application is not showing up in Netscape!! yes...the Map Component is not displayed!!. We are using Netscape 4.7 and we tried to find out the security settings, but was not able to find them. Please let me know if anybody had faced the same problem, any tips any suggestions!! MI - Routing on MapXtreme for JAVA/ASP
Dear all, Is routing possible in MapXtreme? Atleast...Find the shortest routes btwn two places, ten minutes drivetime from a point...interactively on the web. Any hints/applications live on the web, would help a lot. Which would be the best development tool ASP or JAVA or HAHTSITE for the same? Any experiences, any issues Will SUM. MI MapXtreme Query - Map Window Compression
Dear List, Best Wishes. This is related to MapXtreme for NT...where we have developed a Map based site for a customer(final touchs). But currently we have a major problem... Whenever we are using a tool like Z+,Z-,I,PAN...on the Map Window, the map window gets compressed to almost 1/3rd it's size. It disappears if u refresh the page. But it is very annoying at that moment..Since it is a web project , refreshing a page will take time and will be done for no reason at all.This happens randomly let say if I try for 5 times to use the tools on the Map Window the compression takes place about 3 times. Any suggestions, as to why this happens? We are using the following versions Windows NT 4.0 SP 6 IIS 4.0,IE 5 MapXtreme V 2 Any hints would be appreciated. MI - Oracle Spatial
Dear Mappers, Best Wishes. One of our potential customer is interested in MI/Oracle spatial application to be dev eloped. Please let me know whether it is possible to do the following, 1. Data already present in Oracle Relational Database can be imported into Oracle Spatial Cartridge in Object oriented Relational database? If yes... what is required to convert the same,any issues,pre-requisites!! 2. Can it be possible to use Oracle stored procedures in Oracle spatial cartridge for spatial analysis? any hints... 3. Can we develop a web viewer using JAVA and Oracle Spatial. 4. Can data capture be possible directly using Oracle spatial cartridge?? 5. Finally I got the message that there is problems related to connectivity between MI 5.5 and Oracle 8.1.5?? Is it true?? Thanks in advance. I would sum. MI: Oracle 8i (v8.1.5) and MapInfo 5.5 - Problems
Dear MI Gurus, Helpful hints,needed. One of our customer having data in Oracle8i and wanted the same to be imported into Oracle 8i Spatial. Then they are interested to view the spatial objects in MapInfo 5.5 or 6. The options I choose to view the spatial data in MapInfo 5.5: I connect to Oracle using a DBMS connection and the Oracle 8i connection. Enter username, password and service. The data I am retrieving has been made mappable and given a projection. I am not downloading every field for example Area table contains Area_SDODIM,AREA_SDOGEOM,AREA_SDOINDEX,AREA_SDOLAYER. The table is entered in the SDO_GEOM_METADATA table and the MapInfo MapCatalog. The table is linked - I check the download data (default option). After all this I get a point as a Map on the Map window. I click on the info tool and I get all the info about Area in that one point. I also noted that I was not able to select Polyline or region options!! Please let me know what is necessary to populate Oracle database to Oracle 8i Spatial? Any prerequistes to do the same? Iam I missing something... Please let me know if Iam missing something. Any hints would be of great help. Thanks in advance. MI create point
Dear MI gurus, One of my client gets data in a tabular format like Vehicle Id,Date,Lat and Long and Altitude. Here lat and long is in Degrees, min ,sec like 23, 1 ,0.072 respectively. I have converted into lat and long accordingly and tried to create point ( create point option ) based on the lat and long in Lat/Long Projection?? map of India. But the point is created completely out of Indian boundary. I also tried to multiply lat with - (negative) with no results. But, when a physical place a point on the map (assuming the point location) and entered one value of lat and long by double clicking on the point, it place exactly on the correct location (it repositions itself!!). Why this is not happening with Create points option...Iam a missing something. MI Vectors turn around!!
Dear MI Gurus, This problem makes me go mad... When I do an onscreen digitization in MapInfo 5,5.5 with the raster image the vectors turn around. This happens only when I view the vectors, I had a mail on this but some how this is missing with me now. Can anybody let me know how to overcome this. Thanks in advance. MI integrated mapping application
Hi, One of my client has faced the following problem in integrated mapping application using VC++. Can any one give some hints on this!! I have redefined short cut menu as - CREATE MENU \"MapperShortcut\" ID 100 AS \"Show in Different Window\" ID 101 CALLING OLE \"ProcessMenuCommands\" I am calling mapinfo.SetCallBack() with Document object, so that i can receive all callbacks in my document class. I want to know How to declare/define, where to declare/define function 'ProcessMenuCommands' in my document class. Thanks in advance. MI Sample programs along with MapBasic
Hi Mappers, Iam using MI 5.5 and MB 5.5... While installing MapBasic their are some sample programs which get installed. But, the Visual Basic samples like FindZip,Callback and Vtools have be compiled in Version 4...I tried to run them in VB 6 with no luck. I would like to know whther anybody spend time and had already debugged the program?... Thanks in advance.
