Title: FW: Florida Ballot

Hahaha!

From a Canadian, this is a really funny election. I
think the Oscard for the best Drama of the year should be the American
Election.

Even funnier, Bush gets Florida but no other
states (Even with the other recounts) and then with 271 electoral voteshe is
a really happy maybe president until one voter changes his votes to Gores
because, hey! this has happened beforeso what would happen to him/her? Would
Gore be the president.

Enjoy the dramaWhom said that my votes doesn't
countwith 360-390 votes on the linesit is 50% +1 votemaybe it will
be 1 vote.

Have a nice weekend!

GIS related stuff: Cool Maps was or I should say,
are been used with this election.

Re: MI Help with Canadian Provincial Abbreviations

2000-07-25 Thread Patrick Busque

Hello!

I'm from Canada and Nunavut was supposed to be NU but then someone at Canada
Post taught some french canadian would have been greatly offended by NU
which could mean Nude (nue) in french. So Nunavut was NT, some Inuit were
not happy about that position so when the story came out, every french
canadian was laughting about the NU thing. So Nunavut will become NU once
and for all and every one will live happy ever after. Canadian
politicsisn't it great!

Re: MI I've lost my Universal Translater - (if I ever had it.)

1999-10-25 Thread Patrick Busque

Hello! Clifford

You should take a look in /MapInfo/Professional/UT UT = Universal
Translator.

If you find it, then click Imutgui.exe

Or you can search "Imutgui.exe" with windows search capability.

Good luck!

Re: MI Workspace Printer Settings

1999-08-12 Thread Patrick Busque

Helo! Group

I work with 5 different printers ( 2 plotter, 2 laser and 1 epson) and I
keep changing the setting to print differents sized maps.

Just today will I was working and a poster, I wanted this feature with
MapInfo. It would save time and effort. MapInfo 5.6 ;-)

Andrew Dressel presented new and future features for MapInfo Professional.
When he asked for comments and questions I brought up this very issue. Andy
stated that he not heard of this problem, recognized the issue and said he
would look into it. I'm sure we'll get a "fix" in the next release.
