MI-L MI 6.0 Win2000 and HP Plotter problems
Has anyone else had the problems I am having? My Network print server recently switched over to Win2000, (The same op system I use locally) and ever since that fateful day I can no longer properly print any files larger than 15M to my HP Designjet 750C plotter. Even files I printed the week before the switch now no longer work. My IT people seem helpless to solve this problem and I am out of work-arounds. Constant messages such as "out of memory data was lost" Plotter is maxed out in memory. I have switched out the memory with new memory and it still will not work. I have tons of disk space, tons of RAM. I can't get it to work even if I process print jobs in my computer or even if I print to a file and copy directly to the printer. Any suggestions are welcome Job offers in Boston area also welcome as my future here appears less inviting every day this remains unsolved! - Pete McDonald GIS Solutions 617-585-7651 ___ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
MI-L Transparent Fonts?
Wouldn' t it be nice to have transparent fonts available in Mapinfo? Just put that on my wish list Is there a way to make fonts transparent that I don't know? ___ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
MI-L Interesting MI 6.0 behavior
When I create a thematic map of point data using graduated symbols and then create a thematic of the same data with a graduated color theme... displaying both thematics in the same map window at the same time produces a COMBINATION map of graduated size and colored symbols. When one or the other is displayed individually they appear normal... together they form a weird image with aspects of both combined. I originally WANTED to create a combined size and color thematic but I am not allowed to do so. Is this the way MI 6 is supposed to work or am I dealing with some kind of mutation here?? Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas? ___ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
