Convert the image to 8 bit or get a copy of MI 6.0. ECW files will print at 24 bit out of MI 5.5 but you would have to convert your imagery to ECW format (www.ermapper.com).

Hi there,

Im looking for an application or mbx that produces
high quality image snap shot of a map window.

The resulting image will be used for powerpoint
presentation and high resolution publication.

I know you can use export and print to ps file facilities
in MapInfo but the resultant image is not good enough, it's pixely.

Many thanks

MI RE: high res image generator

2000-08-08 Thread Martin Roundill

Hi Ross,

I also use the window save-as option and have very good success with wmf
format.

If saving more than one sheet shot I ensure the map window doesn't change
size and that I use the same width/height values. This enables the position
of the map within PowerPoint to be amended with a common scale factor and
common position - which in turn enables a PowerPoint presentation to be
created that can appear to 'show' layers being turned on and off.

Cheers

Martin
