And what about new projections in v8.5 - here in Slovakia (and Czech rep. too) we are lng waiting for including of our most widely used Krovak (JTSK) projection in MI. Hi Jaromir My inquiries in regard to the new projections available with MI Pro 8.5 reveal the following to have been included: New ETRS-based Coordinate Systems- Transverse Mercator Zone 26-39- Lambert Conformal Conic- Azimuthal Equal AreaSwedish Coordinate System Added.- Conical projections for aviation mapsSouth African Coordinate System Zones Added.- Several Gauss Kruger Coordinate System zonesLithuanian Coordinate Systems- EPSG codes addedNew Latvian Coordinate Systems- LKS-92, and Longitude/Latitude (LKS-92)New Estonian Coordinate System- L-EST97 (EUREF89) Of course you can always add your own by editing the PRJ file. Hi Greg Take a look at the following link to where MapInfo give some idea of what is happening in V8.5. There is also a link on this page to a video which highlights the upcoming release. The link is http://mapinfo.com/upgrade. My understanding of release for the English version of V8.5 is that it will ship from the US in early June and be available in the various regions shortly thereafter. As Peter said, I too saw the preview of V8.5 at MapWorld in Phoenix and it does appear to have some useful improvements and handy new stuff. Hope this helps.
