Hi Jiri, sorry for the late response!

I am very much so inclined to say the post will be the same. I actually
just went to create the article, but I see Paul has already done so. The
URL he generated is as follows:

https://fedoramagazine.org/whats-new-fedora-24-workstation/

The post is currently an empty draft right now. I would double-check
with either ryanlerch or stickster about the possibility of
*guaranteeing* the URL remains the same. I think it's almost already
sure to not change, but for something like this, I would get one of
their +1 on this as well. The intention is to also publish this article
"Day of Release".

Hope this helps!

[Marketing] Re: [Developer-portal] Re: Preparing a new release of Fedora Developer Portal - asking for feedback

2016-04-27 Thread Zoltan Hoppar
I think this developer portal will be key for us, and there is a place
for a developer hub for projects aka earlier fedora hosted. IMHO
Fedora Hosted .next should be something like a kickstart portal, just
for softwares. If we are able to our community run software startups,
host them, and even besides the description would be cool to openly,
visibly look for specified coders, designers and so on.

[Marketing] [Pitch] Single sign-on improvements in Fedora 24 article

2016-04-27 Thread Alexander Bokovoy

Hi,

For those who don't know me, I'm Alexander Bokovoy, working for Red Hat
on FreeIPA, Samba, SSSD and other projects -- mostly on the server side
but since last year I run an effort to get desktop side improved as
well.

I've created a pitch for the article for Fedora Magazine to highlight
our effort between FreeIPA and Red Hat desktop teams to improve GNOME
3.20 use in enterprise environments.

With Fedora 24 beta we'll have first user-visible results of this
cooperation that allow single sign-on use of user credentials when
Fedora 24 GNOME Desktop is enrolled to FreeIPA or Active Directory
environments.

The article is going to walk through the enabled features and would
point to few external resources that describe how to setup some of
server and client side for the single sign-on access.

The content will be based on my talks done at devconf.cz and FOSDEM
2016.

The pitch link is:

[Marketing] F24 Beta Release Notes (coming next week)

2016-04-27 Thread Justin W. Flory

Hello all,

Before going further, please note this is a cross-posted thread! There
is a low-traffic mailing list, logist...@lists.fedoraproject.org, which
was created for multi-list collaboration on things like this topic. To
centralize discussion, please consider using that list for replies (even
if you unsubscribe after the discussion finishes).

Anyways, assuming all goes according to plan, the F24 Beta is due to
land on May 3rd, or in seven days from today. Therefore, it's time to
review and look over the release notes for the F24 Beta. The current
draft can be found on the wiki.

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F24_Beta_release_announcement

As of now, it is a forked version of the Alpha release announcement with
a few changes based on information I gathered from #fedora-qa. If you
could take some time to review the release notes and ensure everything
is *current* and correct since the Alpha release for areas you are
familiar and knowledgeable with, that would be appreciated so we can aim
to ship this next week.

Thanks all!
