MD: USB to digital?
Greetings, In a week I will be getting my mandatory college laptop, complete with a DVD player. I am curious as to if there is a way for me to outfit my laptop with any sort of digital output? Is there a USB to digital contraption anyone knows about? Any information would be welcomed. I have no idea exactly what kind of soundcard it has...I glimpsed a friends and it looked like it just had a headphone jack. Thanks! ~BRad - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Yes, look at xitels webpage at www.xitel.com they have a new model which has optical out. The one with the headphone jack is the analog unit. Re: MD: MS stereo microphone
IF you want to build an MS mike, there are plans and a kit on the web. http://www.paia.com/msmic.htm "Timothy P. Stockman" wrote: Anyone have any experience with Sony's ECM-MS907? Re: MD: copy FROM MD to CD
I think the sharp only has the one output jack and it is used for headphhones and line out, so you have to use that. I don't know what you are using for a CD burner. susan wrote: Gary--how do I copy my recordings that I make on MD to my cd burner? I have a sharp 722 and the manual doesnot mention recording FROM the MD only TO the MD. I have 2 cables that came with the sharp 722 but there is no output plug just the inputs-I figure the headphone plug is the only output. thanks Please reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Susan and the Wolves of Suffern, Cory at the Bridge ICQ #17750260 cc to [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Jim Coon Not just another pretty mandolin picker. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] If Gibson made cars, would they sound so sweet? Yes you're right but with the $25.00 shipping charge the cost come to $145.00 We can have the MDX60 on www.mercata.com or www.etown.com for $147 -- mercata $149.70 --- e-town and it's free shipping... I think that it's better 3CD than one and better 40 watt/speakers than 20 watt... It's a way of thinking... One thing is sure this will help people to begin with minidisc !!! hi all-- I am hoping someone can help me recover lost recordings. I have some MD's that my player thinks are blank. I recorded a few long tracks on each of them, but the recorder didn't write the TOC (in one case due to a power loss; in the other cases, the recorder had a problem with its motor which is now fixed). I have read a number of websites and postings that tell how to clone a TOC for other units, but none of these techniques work with my sony. does anyone out there have any ideas about how i might trick it into writing a TOC on these "blank" discs? or any other way of recovering the recordings? thanks... - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have an MDX5 and would not trade it for a MDX60. They are two very different units, the MDX5 is a very simple, subtle unit that will look at home in a family room. the MDX60 is more from the "look at all my fancy lights" school of design that would look right in a teen bedroom. The MDX5 also lacks a cassette deck (a plus) and has a keyboard connector on the from (a big plus) Regards, David Sowa - Original Message - From: "Peter Forest" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, June 30, 2000 10:55 AM Subject: RE: MD: Sharp mdx5 120bucks Yes you're right but with the $25.00 shipping charge the cost come to $145.00 We can have the MDX60 on www.mercata.com or www.etown.com for $147 -- mercata $149.70 --- e-town and it's free shipping... MD: Purchasing MD equipment from the US (to the UK)
Hi, Has anyone out there (UK members specifically) had much experience in purchasing MD equipment mail order from the US? I have a friend in Arizona who would be willing to purchase an MD Player on my behalf and send it to me here in the UK. Is there anything anyone can recommend in order for this to be done without 'attracting' customs charges, VAT etc? Can anyone shed any light on what the legalities of this are? If anyone has any experience of this I would be interested to hear any advice you may have to offer. I assume that me doing it this way would be better than purchasing direct from the mail order supplier and getting them to ship it? I am relatively new to this list and can appreciate that this could well be a topic that has been heavily discussed before - apologies if this is the case. Kind regards, Mathew - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
