MD: Human interference?

2001-04-09 Thread Zach Prichard

Ok so I plug up my MDZ-R70 (sony) to transfer a recordin g for a friend
I plug it into the line in and all start toi play the MD back through my
comp...no problem and everything sounds fine..UNTIL I touch the MD
player...and then I get a subtle but noticeable deep buzz in the sound...as
soon as I let go it goes away...I can touch it with other objects and it
doesn't make the noise..JUST when it comes into contact with my
skinwhat exactly causes this?

Re: MD: TosLink interconnect question...

2001-04-09 Thread dattier

[EMAIL PROTECTED] asked,

| This is a bit off topic ...

Not really.

| Also. are there optical "Y" Adapters so that I can
| connect 2 S/PDIF sources to one mini-disc recorder?

Recoton has a 3-to-1 TOSlink switcher that can operate in either direction
(as an input selector or as an output director). Their page about it is at
http://www.recoton.com/products/audio/prod_switcher.htm.
