MD: Cheap MZ-E60 Players In Australia
Myer, An Australian shop currently has the MZ-E60 Minidisc Player for Australian$199, which seems to be a very good price! I bought a blue one here in Hobart (nice rainbow effect on the outside of the case) but they have silver as well. No LP mode, but otherwise a bargain! MD: Request for Help
Hi, I manufacture Minidisc to PC interfaces for the MZR900/700/90 (my web site is currently featured on www.minidisc.org) On this page, it is sudgested that I use proper Sony remote connectors, and there is a link to an Ebay auction for 50 closing in about 1 day. I would really like to purchase these remotes, but the Auction is for US bidders only. If any list member in the US would like to place a bid for me ASAP, I would be very greatful and would cover all costs incurred. Re: MD: Help: Problems with Soundcard
=== = NB: Over 50% of this message is QUOTED, please = = be more selective when quoting text = === Thanks for the tip. I do, however, have the latest drivers and have service pack 2 installed. Anything else that might work? Do you have the latest drivers? http://www.leadtek.com.tw/old/e4xsounddl.htm ftp://ftp1.leadtek.com/video/4xsound/6xsound_w2kme_d260f. exe I've recently purchased a Leadtek Winfast 4X soundcard with optical in and out for MD use. This soundcard is based on the Cmedia 8738 chipset. After installation, analogue output works fine, however digital output doesn't, and almost all SPDIF options in the advanced section of the mixer are greyed out. I'm running Windows 2000. Has anyone here had this problem? Thanks, - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

MD: ANN: MiniDisc Control Center
Announcing MiniDisc Control Center! This free program allows you to control a Sony MZ-R900 MiniDisc recorder from your computer. The program uses an interface that connects the parallel (printer) port of your computer to the remote control port of the mini disc unit. Most functions of the recorder can be controlled from the computer, including titling and full recording from Winamp. MD: Earphones
Thanks to all the people who replied to my post concerning earphones for use with a portable MD player. This week I received my Sennheiser MX500 earphones that I had on order at a local shop. These earphones sound really good, and are a bargain for the $40 (that's Australia$, only $20 US). There is an amazing difference between the sound of these new earphones and the ones that came with my MZR-900. Deeper base, clearer trebble, and a more natural sound. I definitely recommend these Sennheisers from portable MD use. Tim - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: MD: Mironics computer interface
The differences between the commercial version and the DIY version of the interface only affect the volume buttons (the DIY one uses and 8 way analogue multiplexer, allowing only 8 possible functions) I've had a fair bit of programming experience, including directly programming the paralell port under DOS, and serial port under Windows, so I might have a go at writing my own titling program. It would really be helpful if Mironics did offer an ActiveX interface though. Is there someone on this list who could help with a Winamp plugin, or any others who would like to help? MD: Mironics computer interface
Thanks to those who replied about my track mark insertion query. To overcome the problem of track marks when copying music from the computer, and to enable titling, I have constructed the computer link specified on the Mironics web site http://www.mironics.com It cost about $15 in parts, and now I'm trying to decide whether to try and write my own software, or buy theirs for $80. (I'm in Australia; Au$) Has anyone here used their product who could provide me with some advice? MD: Marking tracks on MZ-R900
I'm trying to add track marks to a recording on my MZ-R900, and would like to know how to do it accurately. Currently I press pause when it gets to the right spot, then tarck-mark. Is there a better way? - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
MD: Earphones
I've just purchased a Sony MZR-900 and would like to buy some better earphones for it. I'd really like some that are comfortable, and with good sound. I currently have some old Sony ones that are really comfortable, but don't sound too good, some groove ones that came with a discman 3 years ago that sound good, but aren't very comfortable, and the ones that came with the 900 which are somewhere inbetween. Any sudgestions? Tim - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
