You had zero problems, I had 100% problems until JT posted a working link.

You see, there are published standards for listing URLs in text documents
like mail messages. URLs are terminated with an end of line character.
What that ammounts to is that this is the URL:

http://www.matsushita.co.jp/corp/news/official.data/data.dir/jn010315-1/jn01

Which is nonexistant. Technically, the URL must be bracketed with `URL:'
and `' to help prevent wrapping from being a problem, like this:

URL:http://www.matsushita.co.jp/corp/news/official.data/data.dir/jn010315-1/jn010315-1-1.jpg

Well I guess one of us so insanely skilled that he can copy and paste better
then the other guy, and the other one was just helpless. Must be that 6
months of college I attended...I can't belive you just sat there wondering
what the picture was even though the URL was RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU,
until someone sent you a "correct" version.

You see, there are published standards for listing URLs in text documents

No, there are stadards for HYPERLINKS. A URL is not always a link. So what
if it wrapped to the next line? Copy *both* lines!

The fact that you couldn't go to this URL even though it was RIGHT THERE ON
THE SCREEN doesn't say a lot for your problem solving abilities, which in
itself is fine, but the fact that you continue to bitch to the list about
the guy that took time out of his day to post the link in the first place,
when your poor conflict resolution abilities are to blame is pretty sad.
Leon has posted several links here, and semi-translated/answered questions
for the Japanese language ones. Personaly I appreciate it far too much to
complain because word wrap messed up (but only slightly) his latest link.

There are standards for including a URL in a text email message. Rat
posted one -- using URL: -- but the more common (and preferred, IMHO)
is to use around the URL.

In most modern PC email clients, and in any Macintosh-standard
application that uses text services, the brackets delineate the beginning
and end of the URL, so that even if there are hard returns/line
characters in the middle, the URL will "work" without having to manually
cut and paste to fix it.

The fact that you couldn't go to this URL even though it was RIGHT
THERE ON THE SCREEN doesn't say a lot for your problem solving

abilities are to blame is pretty sad.

There is no need to make personal attacks. Rat was just asking that URLs
be posted in a standardized way. I agree that Leon has made many useful
posts -- Rat's request does not imply otherwise.

Sure anyone could take the time to manually splice together the various
parts of the URL (I did, in fact LOL). But in the future, I think Rat's
request is a good one -- if people could enclose URLs with brackets like
this: http://www.cnn.com it will make the list more user-friendly with
*minimal* effort. And that should make everyone happy, right? ;)

The link got broken by text wrap. Let's try HTML email:

a
href="http://www.matsushita.co.jp/corp/news/official.data/data.dir/jn010315-
1/jn010315-1-1.jpg"__/a

Or go to the news release page and click on the center-aligned blue icon
(with __KB next to it).

It's not titanium. Titanium is more expensive to make. Although Panasonic
doesn't say, I would assume that magnesium alloy is used to achieve the
MJ78's size and weight (62g by itself).

It doesn't have titanium written on the face either :-)

Works fine for me, check *your* cut and paste.

btw, even though it's titanium, it isn't that cool looking. Probably because
of the big word, "Titanium" written on the face. That's pretty tacky.

I think you're thinking of the new Aiwa mentioned earlier. THe Panasonic
just has 'Panasonic' written on it in big letters, and I believe it's the
standard aluminum, not titanium, though I can't read Japanese to be sure.

wraps the end of the URL.

And please drop the whole AOL thing too. Anyone who uses AOL has obviously

the time from ex-users) and has therefore dug their own hole. I don't see
why we should have the MD mailing list turned into tech support that AOL
should provide.
