how to disassemble the unit - unless of course it is still under warranty.

It's still under warranty, although I got it in Australia when I was
there, and I don't really like the idea of waiting ages for some repair
person to leave it on a shelf for 2 weeks before doing anything and fixing
it in 20 mins :P

I had it with an MDS-JE510 two years ago this month. It's a potential

Is there anything I can do? Other than ring Sharp and ask for a
replacement? When looking at the slot front one, I see that the top edge
is slightly curved downwards, is this part of the design, or do I have a
shonky model?

Well I just spoke to the guy who does all the minidisc repairs for most of
new zealand, and basically my unit is bent on the top of the slot, which
is most likely the cause of stopping the unit from ejecting my disc.

I'm 99% sure it was like that when I got it, but that's something nearly
impossible to prove, and apparantly bent cases and stuff aren't covered
under warranty usually, the other question is, wheather I filld in and
sent off my warranty card, mmm, I can't rememeber...

Does anyone have the fax number for Walkman World in Melbourne at all?

Hello List - long time no post

I don't know about the 722, but my 702 only has a curving downwards front
when I haven't rebuilt it properly. The top part of the case clips in above
the slot, so it sounds like it may have popped out. Are you any good with a
screwdriver? If so, e-mail me off list and I will give some instructions on
how to disassemble the unit - unless of course it is still under warranty.

Many happy returns of the season!

Ian
