[MDaemon-L] Winmail.dat di settingan IMAP

Selamat siang Pak Syafril,

Salah satu user di tempat saya ketika terima email di ipad maupun di webmail
sering mendapatkan file attachment berbentuk winmail.dat. Hal ini menjadikan
attachment tersebut tidak bisa dibuka langsung tetapi harus ada software
aplikasi lain untuk membukanya. Sedangkan kalau dibuka di notebook,
attachment tersebut tidak ada masalah. Pertanyaan saya, Apakah ada settingan
khusus di server supaya user tersebut tidak terima lagi attachment berbentuk
winmail.dat. Dan untuk format winmail.dat apakah untuk user yang disetting
emailnya dengan IMAP saja? 
Sebagai informasi saja, saat ini settingan spam filter di server di posisi
score 5.

Pertimbangannya lebih kepada macam koneksi internet di cabang.
- Kalau kantor cabang punya layanan koneksi internet yang cukup
(synchronous, full online, fixed IP) maka domain sharing lebih nyaman
digunakan.
Dalam hal ini server cabang bahkan bisa diset sebagai MX backup (kalau
kanal internet mereka mencukupi).

asynchronous (misalkan ADSL) maka master satelite lebih jadi pilihan.

Ada perbedaan dalam pemakaian user license, khususnya dikantor pusat,
kalau di cabang sih sama saja.

Dengan domain sharing maka masing-2x node (kantor pusat atau cabang)
menggunakan license sesuai jumlah real account yang diperlukan.
Misalkan saja, kantor pusat ada 100 user dan kantor cabang ada 250 user,
maka kantor pusat perlu 100 user license sementara kantor cabang butuh
yang 250 user license kalau pakai domain sharing.
Sementara kalau pakai master-satelite kantor pusat butuh (250+100 ~ 500
user license) sementara kantor cabang cukup 250 user license.

Saya ingin membuat server mail di kantor cabang tetapi menggunakan nama
domain yang sama (bukan subdomain) dengan yang ada di kantor pusat apakah
memungkinkan,  dan mengenai licensenya apakah harus beli  lagi untuk yang
si server mail cabang

Tanyakan yang ditolak saat kirimnya kapan (tanggal dan jam) dan
sendernya siapa (alamat lengkap) agar mudah mencarinya di smtp-in log
harian (per tanggal).

Atau, lebih baik lagi, minta Delivery Status Notification of failure
message yang digenerate oleh server mereka ke original sender.

Kalau sender domain yang hosting di google.com umumnya akan ok sepanjang
mereka kirim mail melalui server mail hosternya.

Bisa saja terjadi saat mereka kirim tetapi server Anda sedang sibuk
(terus), baik karena ada masalah webmail yang banyak menggunakan
resources atau masalah lain (masih belum tahu persisnya, harus lihat ke
log untuk memastikan).

Coba periksa ulang, kalau dari hasil scanning semalam IPV6 masih aktif.

Kalau semua yang disarankan sudah dilakukan, maka mungkin yang
congestion NIC nya, coba reboot server agar semua ubahan itu effektif.

Pak syafril,

Beberapa hari ini saya mendapatkan informasi dari vendor luar bahwa mereka
sering kali kesulitan untuk mengirim email ke domain kantor saya. Kira kira
kenapa ya pak?
beberapa vendor yang pernah komplain adalah :
@Duosoftware.com
@Akseskd.com
@Mitrasinergi.co.id
@zyrex.co.id

Baru saja saya set di whitelist (bysender dan by reciept) pada spam filter
untuk @duosoftware.com dan sampai saat ini vendor bisa kirim email ke
kantor kami. Apakah harus semua domain diatas di masukkan whitelist agar
tidak bounching? Terima Kasih

Lebih baik distandarkan ke port 80 untuk kemudahan user akses saat

Aktifkan saja IIS dan buat URL forwarding, semua yang akses ke

email terkirim tanpa ada reject tapi tidak ada notif apapun kalau saya
berhasil unsubscribe, kalau saya cek di MD nya email saya masih
terdaftar di mailing list harusnya kan hilang.

Saya ada rencana mau blast email newsletter ke beberapa customer, saya
terpikir memakai cara : buat MailingList di MD lalu saya import list
email customer.

 1. Apakah ada cara lain yg terbaik ?
 2. Apakah kalau saya melakukan blast ini akan membuat IP saya jadi
blacklist / dianggap SPAM ?
