Ini bukan salah MDaemon, melainkan account forwarding yang deprecated, tidak support SRS (SPF forwarding) atau mengantisipasi SPF (Sender Policy Framework). Terimakasih banyak atas penjelasannya Pak, menambah wawasan kami. Kelas sebesar yahoo ternyata juga masih ada kekurangannya. Padahal untuk fasilitas forward, mereka memasang tariff. Akan tetapi masalah utamanya bukan disitu, melainkan ada problem kualitas koneksi sehingga receiver tidak menerima sinyal yang mengindikasikan sender masih connect -- receiver closed connection sebelum data transfer selesai. Mumpung sedang saya monitor mail server, Dalam local queue, saya perhatikan penumpukan besar sekali, dimana penambahan jumlah antrian antara 10 s/d 20 email, sedang pengurangan dalam local queue 1 s/d 5 email saja, Saya lihat log, apakah karena rules, ternyata bukan, namun jeda waktu terlihat waktu scanning antivirus (kami menggunakan Security Plus 4.1.3). (jeda waktu pengiriman local, bisa sampai 15 menit s/d 30 menit agar email diterima kembali) Hal ini tidak sering kami alami dim daemon 12.0.1, namun dalam mdaemon 12.0.2, hal ini kami perhatikan seringkali terjadi. Di Log windows, terdapat banyak sekali warning seperti dibawah : ALERT AntiVirus did not respond within expected time limit; CFEngine may have stopped responding; it will be stopped and restarted [EvProcess] Adakah trick terhadap hal ini ataukah sudah waktunya SC di info tentang hal ini agar ada update engine Pak Demikian hasil pengamatan dalam seminggu ini. Saya coba check lagi http://verify.abuse.net/cgi-bin/relaytest sudah ada info rejected Maaf sekedar laporan efek dari fitur ini Sore ini ISP, tempat kami meletakkan MX2 mengatakan bahwa email2 yang ada di server mereka tidak dapat kami terima Saya coba analisa, lalu melakukan uncheck [] ban IPs that connect more than 5 times in 5 minutes Dan saya meminta ISP mengirimkan email ke kami. Hasilnya mereka dapat mengirim email ke kami Dari analisa diatas, saya jadi berfikir bahwa sekarang fungsi MX2 tidaklah seperti dulu yang dianggap penting. Sekarang justru MX2 membuat tidak flexible mengaplikasikan mail server utama (mx1) Dimana, apabila kita protect ketat spam agar tidak masuk ke MX1, namun karena ter-reject di MX1, maka secara otomatis dia aakan mencoba mengirimkan via MX2, dan hal itu berhasil dilakukan. Ini problem di encryption mismatch, sehingga terkirim encryption key yang salah. Sudah pernah create ulang account-2x nya? Maksud Bapak, create ulang di mdaemon mail server, ataukah di register di BB ? Untuk di mdaemon mail server, belum pernah create ulang, sedangkan di BB semenjak ada fitur BIS, pernah di delete kemudian register ulang agar bisa masuk BIS. Kemudian ketika ada fitur BES saya delete lagi agar bisa masuk ke BES, namun karena BES hanya bisa mengakomodasi 1 account saja, maka saya registrasi kembali di BIS BTW. Saat create BES account apakah tidak di wipe handheldnya? Wipe saya lakukan hanya jika upgrade firmware BB saja (wipe terakhir 3 bulan yang lalu) Saat ini, yang saya lakukan adalah saya uncheck synchronize contact deleted items di register (xl.blackberry.com) untuk account mi...@jkt.zhonghai.net Dan saya perhatikan di BB, synchronize tidak muncul lagi. Wired activation: - hubungkan BB device melalui USB cable ke PC Pastikan O/S sudah mengenali BB device, kalau belum maka bisa install BlackBerry Desktop Manager yang sudah include driver untuk Blackberry. - login ke Worldclient menggunakan Internet Exlorer atau chrome (tidak bisa pakai firefox). - Masuk ke menu Blackberry Management http://mdaemon.dutaint.co.id/worldclient/12.0/index.html?options_bes.h tm nanti akan otomatis terdeteksi BB device disitu, tinggal click Activate Device dan tunggu s/d muncul teks Wired activation complete. You may disconnect the USB cable. Enterprise activation will continue on the device. Wired activation ini relatif cepat prosesnya dibanding OTA. Kalau pakai OTA sebaiknya saat koneksi BISnya 3G agar prosesnya bisa lebih cepat. Saya pilih wired activation.. dan sukses teregister, baik di BB maupun di mdaemon Di mdaemon, PIN saya sudah terdaftar Di BB, ada aplikasi email baru (kok namanya desktop :-), lagi cari cara merubah namanya) Namun karena email yg saya register di BB tsb juga sudah terdaftar di BIS mdaemon, maka ada 2 account email TEST EMAIL. Cerita instalasi mdaemon 12 Pagi instalasi bisa dilaksanakan, ternyata mdaemon 12 membutuhkan SQL 2005 express untuk BES-nya, sehingga installer terlihat gendut. Setelah selesai, minta restart, lalu up lagi. Tengok menu kanan kiri, pada menu mdaemon pada section BB ternyata ada 2 menu pada BB, yaitu BES dan BIS. Dear Pak Horasi SAya pernah punya pengalaman tentang load balancing. Memang kalau dibuat load balancing 50% - 50%, tidak ideal untuk mail server. Idealnya adalah 100% - 0% Dengan skenarion sbb : Set ip x.x.x.x (isp A) sebagai mx1 y.y.y.y (isp b) sebagai mx2 pasang 2 ip tsb di mesin load balancing nat ke IP local mdaemon Bapak missal (z.z.z.z) Set balancing 100% - 0% di load balancing tsb Yang artinya jaringan akan di switch dari ISP A ke ISP B, jika ISP A MATI, atau PUTUS Syarat : mail server set direct delivery to destination, jangan dilempar ke ISP (kuatir pas putus, maka SMTP ISP Putus) Keuntungan 1. Saya sudah lakukan sedikit riset soal ini. Problem sebenarnya bukan di MDaemon melainkan di versi Outlook yang digunakan. Kemungkinan dulu Anda pakai outlook2003 sekarang pakai outlook2007? Sewaktu kami broadcast email di mdaemon 10 11 sudah menggunakan outlook 20007. namun problem kami jumpai sewaktu upgrade mdaemon 11. Kami juga sempat lakukan test : Email html, kami kirim test resend to : milis dan email_pribadi Kami terima 2 email, 1 dari milis (tag html berubah) sedangkan yang ke pribadi utuh Namun jika email create new, dikirim ke milis dan email pribadi. Maka keduanya dikirim utuh. Mungkin kami perlu mencoba pakai mail client lain untuk test. Karena bisa jadi seperti yang Pak Syafril kemukakan, tag html diobok2 oleh outlook. Baik ada attachment maupun tidak? Hanya kalau mail formatnya html? Email tsb (kami peruntukkan untuk news company) hanya format html dan tanpa attachment dan hanya di milis saja. Namun dari eksperiment yang kami lakukan, ternyata bisa disiasati dengan create new email (bukan resend (yang diedit kembali) atau forward) Sehingga saat ini find2 saja dengan create new mail news tsb. Coba lakukan test sbb: 1. pastikan di outlook menggunakan built in message editor bukan word http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/turn-word-on-or-off-as- your-e-mail-editor-or-viewer-HP005242849.aspx lalu test, lihat hasilnya. 2. Aktifkan content-ID http://mdaemon.dutaint.co.id/11.0/index.html?preferences_headers.htm lalu test. 3. Adakah siasat bagaimana agar bisa banyak domain tercover Pak ? Isian subscribe URL boleh saja sama dengan primary domain kalau default yang terisi tidak accessible dari internet. Terimakasih atas respondnya dan maaf, ternyata beberapa hari ini email milis saya ada masalah. Saya pikir belum ada respond sehingga saya ulangi pertanyaannya. Namun problem internal sudah saya temukan. Kalau masih menggunakan MDaemon versi dibawah 11.x koneksi Blackberry tidak optimize, baik dalam hal IMAP protocol maupun event scheduling (IMAP poll schedule). Di MDaemon 11.x jika ada new message masuk di account yang mengaktifkan BIS maka MDaemon akan notify BIS server untuk melakukan check mail, sementara di versi dibawah 11.x check mail mengikuti standard event scheduling di BIS server. Wah saya tidak tahu persis apa penyebab problem di tempat Anda. Saya barusan test di MDaemon server dg winXP maupun W2K3 tidak masalah (tanpa proxy, antivirus atau firewall apapun). Aneh kan Pak ? sy jg uda pusing ...uda utak atik 3 hari masih blom bisa Apa di mdaemon nya sndiri ada settingan lain pak ? selain dr hak access control usernya? -- Just sharing saja Saya dulu pakai IBM Xseries 206, Lancar aman damai. 1 tahun kemudian, mdaemon problem terus. Ganti server..!!, langsung lancar kembali. Kembalikan ke server yang lama (dan yang seharusnya), walaupun sudah install ulang fresh sampai ke os mdaemon nya Masalah terjadi kembali. Server dibawa ke IBM Center, tidak ada masalah apapun. Sekarang server lama tsb Cuma sebagai gateway antara internet user doang. Akan saya kembalikan ke service mode kembali, dan download Av411 dari ftp.dutaint.com Step yang akan saya coba 1. uninstall av41 yang sudah ada (yang terinstall via automatic download) 2. Install secara manual AV41 Hasilnya akan saya laporkan kembali. Setelah process diatas kami jalankan. Ternyata tetep, di event viewer masih muncul warning sbb dibawah : (sebaagai info tambahan, download dari dutaint sering terputus, sehingga ambil download dari alt-n). Artinya AVdata memang sudah current. Kalau penasaran dan ingin tahu apa benar AV datanya benar terdownload dg baik, bisa hapus dulu isi folder \\mdaemon\securityplus\bases lalu force securityplus update secara manual. Lakukan itu dimalam hari (saat idle) karena update awal akan memakan waktu lama dan selama proses update semua mail akan di masukkan ke holding queue. Dear Pak Syafril, Dahulu pak syafril pernah memberi informasi tentang ada 2 tipikal mail server, seingat saya adalah sebagai berikut dibawah : 1. jika koneksi ambil email (pop) terputus maka user dapat login dan kembali ambil email. 2. lock mail server pada waktu ambil email (pop), sehingga apabila putus ditengah jalan maka harus menunggu beberapa menit (sesuai setting) misalnya Mdaemon. Mohon pencerahan kembali tentang hal diatas Pak. Hal ini saya perlukan untuk menjelaskan ke management kami, dimana apabila management ambil email di server kami (mdaemon) terputus, maka mereka harus menunggu beberapa saat untuk bisa connect kembali, sementara email yang lain (di ISP) bisa langsung diambil tanpa tunggu. Maaf saya tidak mengerti maksud pertanyaan dan subjectnya. Maaf kalau subject maksud pertanyaan nggak nyambung, sedang 'ditekan' nih hehehe Mail server cuma 2 macam : Proprietary Mail server dan Internet Mail Server. MDaemon masuk dalam kategori Internet Mail Server, artinya mengikuti standard Internet Protocol yg ditentukan oleh IETF. Kalau boleh tahu, apa yang dimaksud dengan propriety mail server ya Pak ? Semua Internet POP3 server akan sama aturannya, tidak memperkenankan concurrent client connection. Kalau session terputus ditengah jalan akibat link terputus maka session tidak otomatis diclosed. Beda antara satu dan POP3 lain hanya dimasalah setting idle time out yg terserah kepada masing-2x pengelola server tersebut. Di account ISP yang dimiliki management kami, apabila koneksi 3G ybs putus. Maka katanya ybs tinggal connect lagi lalu ambil lagi. Sedangkan untuk email kantor harus tunggu beberapa menit untuk connect lagi. Dear Pak Syafril Beberapa client kami ada yg mengakses email dari rumah. Ketika dia menarik email ke pc nya, beberapa saat kemudian koneksi internet nya down, sehingga email yg di tarik menjadi terhenti. Ketika internet nya up kembali dia mencoba utk menarik email lg maka terjadi -ERR maildrop already locked, dan untuk mengatasi hal tsb kita harus menunggu kurang lebih 10 menit untuk bisa mengpop email kembali. Biasanya bila sy berada di kantor untuk mempersingkat waktu tunggu 10 menit tsb sy mendelet lock file user tsb di folder \\mdaemon\lockfiles. Pertanyaan sy ada kah konfigusari di mail server MDaemon untuk mempersingkat waktu tunggu tsb menjadi kurang dr 10 menit, terima kasih atas pencerahan nya. Kemanakah kami harus mencari penyebabnya ataukah ada saran Mailing list memang butuh tenaga ekstra untuk kirim, perlu DNS server yg kuat dan bandwith yg cukup. Dari sysstem log yg Anda sampaikan sebelumnya terlihat bahwa setiap extra domain Anda set binding ke IP yg berbeda akan tetapi IP address tsb tidak terdaftar di tcp/ip shg smtp service fail to listen di IP tsb. [mdaemon-l] Client tarik email lambat banget
Dear mdaemon-l, Pak ada 2 user saya kalo narik email lamanya minta ampun. Apakah folder ke dua user tersebut rusak atau apa ya pak?? Soalnya user yang lain normal-normal saja walaupun narik email dari server sampai puluhan MB. Saya sudah periksa LAN-nya tidak ada masalah, coba creat identities baru juga ga ngaruh (client menggunakan OE6), begitu juga dengan ganti LAN kabel. Mohon solusinya pak? Apa yang harus saya lakukan? Sudah dicoba ganti Ethernet ? pengalaman mengenai hal ini pernah terjadi :-(. Atau HD client sudah hamper penuh ?
