Re: [MeeGo-dev] why my text display scratched

2010-11-23 Thread Leo
Hi Carsten:
GFX version is the latest:GFX_4_00_00_01_libs.tar.gz. Meego1.1 handset.

But if I use Xlib create window, and use userdefined font, we can render
text correctly.
Browser I think may also use their own font. How about your QT application?

Yeah, you're running into bug 5616 alright - we don't know exactly
what causes it. If we use the SGX driver from Nokia N900 + it's
libraries, the problem does not manifest.

Could you note down the version of SGX drivers/GFX package you use in

My device is devkit8000, CPU->OMAP3530,
   -600-MHz ARM Cortex-A8 Core
   -412-MHz TMS320C64x+ DSP Core

Here is details about hardware:
http://www.armkits.com/Product/devkit8000.asp

I launch the browser, it's good! I'm not familiar with the Gecko/Fennec,
But I have some experience with webkit, As I know, Webkit will do its
layout and
use the cairo/skia/gdk... to generate its pixbuf, then copy to GPU or the
framebuffer to ask for render.
And consider the situation I talked, it means we can draw the pixbuf
correctly.

If the text is not ok, why browser can get the correct layout?
I feel very confused.

Can you file a bug to track your issue? Here isn't a good place to talk about
mic2 issues, please send your issue to meego-distribution-to...@meego.com later.

Arm image doesn't need syslinux in repo, but syslinux has been installed on
your machine when you installed mic2, I think your system is weird a bit, so
strongly suggest you file a bug to track your issue, I remembered you had an
issue "Fail to support btrfs filesystem", now is it ok?

Sounds like the OOM killer started doing work.

You need to add more memory to complete the build. Here's the output from time
trying to link it on my Core-i7 workstation:

10.17user 1.01system 0:11.31elapsed 98%CPU (0avgtext+0avgdata
3280896maxresident)k
24inputs+64296outputs (0major+288081minor)pagefaults 0swaps

As you can see in "maxresident", it used 3 GB of RSS.

Re: [MeeGo-dev] meego-tools repository for Fedora 14 planned?

2010-11-23 Thread patrick mccormick
Hello,

I just looked at the "devel:tools:building" repo
(http://build.meego.com/project/show?project=devel%3Atools%3Abuilding),
and there is a broken F14 build in there.

It looks like the kernel on the OBS is too old for one or more of the
user space programs, probably something filesystem related*. However,
you can probably build the set of RPMs locally like I did, and then
install them as needed.

Try something like this:

# choose all or some packages:
osc co devel:tools:building

# and then build:
osc build Fedora_14 i586 package.spec # --clean might be necessary

The rpms will be in the buildroot.

Also, if you don't have osc and friends all set up, you can build with
"rpmbuild -bb" and lots of fiddling with dependencies..or I can send
some RPMs if none of the above is possible on your machine.

-Patrick

* Correct me if I am wrong, I don't know how a lot of the server side
build service stuff works

Paul,

Your other option is to build QtWebKit without SVG support
(DEFINES+=ENABLE_SVG=0). This cuts the resulting binary about half and would
require less memory to link as well.

You need the right version of syslinux on your system. The best way to
update your system is to download the package from

distribution accordingly e.g. for Ubuntu 10.04:
http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/tools/repos/ubuntu/10.04/.

eh guys .. he's trying to make an ARM image.
there's no syslinux involved for arm... at all.

2010-11-23 Thread b0unc3
Hello,

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm getting problems login on
bugs.meego.com.
I have tried to login using my meego.com credential, but it fails (password
is too long ???)
I have tried to create a new account, but :
1) if I'm already logged on meego.com it says : Access Denied
2) else it takes me to create a new account on meego.com (that I already
have!!)

What else I can do ? :)
Thanks.

what distribution are you using as a buildhost?
At first i had all kinds of trouble running MIC2 on the native Linux,
including your error if I remember correctly.
Since I'm using a Fedora 13 VM, it works like a charm.

Sounds like the OOM killer started doing work.

You need to add more memory to complete the build. Here's the output from time
trying to link it on my Core-i7 workstation:

10.17user 1.01system 0:11.31elapsed 98%CPU (0avgtext+0avgdata
3280896maxresident)k
24inputs+64296outputs (0major+288081minor)pagefaults 0swaps

As you can see in "maxresident", it used 3 GB of RSS.

If you read the .spec file contained in that package you will see it
depends on some gstreamer packages:

BuildRequires: pkgconfig(gstreamer-0.10)
BuildRequires: pkgconfig(gstreamer-base-0.10)
BuildRequires: pkgconfig(gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10)
