[MeeGo-dev] [N900] Have uboot default to maemo?
Hi, is it possible to convince uboot to boot into maemo per default? I tried to setenv / saveenv the bootcmd but the device gets rebooted during saveenv (watchdog?). Basically we want to have MeeGo running in N900 device, so that it's really usable as your daily development device. Basic Handset UX should work, phone calls, SMS, web browsing. So we are concentrating on a few selected features and polish those to be perfect. It might mean that we leave out some things in MeeGo 1.2 trunk for this edition, but that is not the default intention. We are doing this fully on the open, and I hope this is an interesting project where we all in the community work towards the same goal: have a great MeeGo edition in the N900. This work is naturally based on the great work done already by N900 adaptation team lead by Harri and Carsten. The wiki is up here: http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/N900/DeveloperEdition. It will populated with more information as we go, thanks for the patience. Can you add some information about the different images? N900 Handset images: weekly build, Trunk-daily, Trunk-Testing Weekly build and daily build sound obvious, but maybe they are not? - How does the weekly build differ from the 7th daily build? - What is trunk-testing? How does it differ from trunk-daily? - Which image shall be used for testing? [MeeGo-dev] MeeGo 1.2 MSSF integration
Hi All, can someone please give an official statement about the MSSF integration in MeeGo 1.2? Will it happen? When? To what extend? Apparently this is being discussed behind closed doors (again)[1], so please enlighten the rest of us. While we are at it: I think the cancellation of the Upstart integration could have been announced a bit more prominent than just dropping a sentence within a long running thread from January.[2] Thanks, Rolf [1] http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.handhelds.meego.devel/8523 [2] http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.handhelds.meego.devel/8500 ___ MeeGo-dev mailing list MeeGo-dev@meego.com http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-dev http://wiki.meego.com/Mailing_list_guidelines

[MeeGo-dev] Tag usage in kernel-source repository
Hi All, I noticed that there are no tags in the kernel-source git repository. How do you mark the versions you release as updates, e.g. kernel-2.6.33.5-26.1.src.rpm vs. kernel-2.6.33.5-27.1.src.rpm Do I have to diff the src.rpm contents to find out what has changed? -Rolf -- Rolf Offermanns rofferma...@sysgo.com SYSGO AG Tel.: +49-6136-9948-0 Am Pfaffenstein 14 Fax: +49-6136-9948-10 55270 Klein-Winternheim http://www.sysgo.com Handelsregister: HRB Mainz 90 HRB 8066 Vorstand: Michael Tiedemann Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender: Juergen Bullacher USt(VAT)-Id-Nr.: DE 149062328 ___ MeeGo-dev mailing list MeeGo-dev@meego.com http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-dev

[MeeGo-dev] meego-trunk: bluetooth problems caused by autosuspend patch
Hi All, I see lots of btusb_bulk_complete (...) failed to resubmit errors with the latest netbook image (meego-netbook-ia32-1.0.90.2.20100914.1) on my EeePC 1005-HA. The bluetooth connection(s) are flaky and unstable. I recompiled the kernel and removed the linux-2.6-usb-bt-autosuspend.patch and now it works fine.
