Baseball is on a roll lately. The Roger Clemens fiasco of late and now A-Rod. Is it time to worry if apple pie is being doped? -- Hans Neureiter, Katy, TX '82 300SD '01 VW New Beetle 1.9L TDI hardly anyone makes apple pie at home. Neither baseball nor apple pie are american symbols anymore. In order to destroy the family and christianity, mama has to be put to work outside the home. It is all part of the socialist/progressive plan. There was a prior post about the socialist/progressive assault on America: Wrong target, mao. The voting system isn't perfect but the real problem is the electorate who are both mis-educated (which is worse than ignorant) and greedy. This gets back to my point of the progressive (liberal, marxist/socialist/and the much more recent, though out of style communist) takeover of the education system over the past 150 years. they started out as socialists. Many socialist communities (experiments) were tried in the USA, including the german Amana colonies, the french icarian society and yes, even the first pilgrims. They all failed because there is less motivation to work for the collective than there is to work for yourself. After that, marx came along, and it became known as marxism. in the late 1800s in the us, since socialism and marxism were proven failures, they re-labelled themselves as progressives then lenin murdered millions instituting communism, then because that ism was disgraced, they labelled themselves as liberals. In the post reagan era, when the liberal title became unelectible, they renamed themselves progressive again and took over the democrat party. Throughout all this time, the target has been textbooks and misguiding the kinder. This proves the wisdom of the Hawaiian proverb I quoted in an earlier post. These people are in it for the long game. to own and control all the sheep. Central planning by the chosen few. Before 1900 there were no organized national sports. As part of the progressive agenda, means were needed to take the focus off the christianity, the country, and politics, because an informed and religious populous can't be herded like sheep. Organized sports and the entertainment industry have been used to achieve these goals. It is no coincidence that education/hollywood/unions are all dominated by socialist/progressive thought. I'd postulate that informed people should pay no attention to overage juveniles getting paid way more than we are paid for playing childrens' school games. As for Apple pie, it is American, but is no longer relevant. Apple pie may become relevant once more if the church reforms, and causes an American revival. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
Re: [MBZ] OT: diesel genset
If it's a later model Coleman, it's brushless. Remove the back cover to see. Either way, there is going to be some sort of regulator or bridge rectifier under a cover somewhere. Find this. As I suggested in a previous post, find the field wires, typically labeled F1 F2, or just + -. These will either go to a set of brushes (revolving field) or a stationary field winding (brushless alternator). Get a 12VDC power supply - an automotive battery works well, or a battery charger. Get wires set up but not a complete circuit connected to the field windings or brushes. Plug in a light bulb or a voltmeter to the generator output. Start the engine. Complete the circuit to the field/brushes. Observe the output. If you get output, and it may not be full output, as 40-60 volts would be good, higher is fine, this means that everything in the generator end is working. You probably have a bad regulator/bridge. If you don't get output, you'll need to start checking windings. If you get to this point, keep in mind that these windings are very low resistance and can not be accurately measured with most hand held meters. More importantly, look for opens and grounds to the laminations or generator frame. You MUST disconnect all wires to check the windings, as one side of the stator leads are typically grounded for the neutral. Have at it and report back. Based on over 25 years experience with this stuff, I'm betting regulator. If I have the facts straight, they were running refrigerators and freezers on extension cords when the power stopped and the engine pitch changed to no-load. Since the plastic cover over the brushes on my 1980s Coleman started falling off and I saw what was under it, I'd been meaning to take a small screwdriver over to their house, pry off the similar cover on the back of their generator head, and see if there are brushes under there. But from the sounds of it, unless there's a broken brush spring I don't think I'll find the problem there. Plus, the media is obviously left wing and will attack any conservative candidate at every opportunity, real, imaginedor fabricated. They went through Sarah Palin's garbage and even moved someone in next door to her. But we know almost nothing about obama's history before becoming a senator, and precious little even then! We have his memoirs/autobiographies - who has accomplished enough in their 30s to rate one book much less 2.I doubt we'll ever see the main stream media fully vet obama and put the info on the nightly news. [MBZ] OT: another generator project
Just bought a Subaru engined 3650 watt Husky generator. Haven't found a model number on it yet, but it appears to be a HU3650 or descendant thereof. Machine looks nearly new. Story is the original owner dropped it and broke the air box but nothing else is wrong with it. Generator is still mounted to engine, but both were removed from chassis. Fortunately all the wiring plugs into the outlet panel with one connector, so if I bolt up the engine mounts, plug in the wiring, and hook up the fuel lines it should be ready to run. I found a parts diagram online at many sites, always the same diagram, it's got a muffler on it but not an air filter. I suppose my first step it to put it back together and make sure it runs/generates. Having just bought some G-05 recently (in a pinch), I can say its definitely not the same as the old MB coolant. There is a noticeable difference in color and viscosity if you're familiar with both. The MB stuff was much thicker and a bit more golden in color. Stick with MB stuff. Just because it all meets the same spec doesn't mean its the same. The new blue stuff is really quite different from the previous one. The most obvious difference is the old had a certain sweetness, while the new is certainly bitter. I suspect this is a new feature of a modern coolant, but only my personal impression, not a professional one. Re: [MBZ] an oily question Jaime can probably answer
you have once again captivated my attention, young jaime. hitherto it have been accepted as fact that MB coolant is THE SAME as G05. i don't believer anyone has challenged this identity before tonight the same sort of gospel now is being accepted about mb is now just using the bmw antifreeze. it might just be that they are both blue it might also be the the new stuff is the same as the old stuff but just no longer appealing to pets this sounds like a case for rick knoble to sort out On Mon, Jan 13, 2014 at 9:46 PM, Jaime Kopchinski jaime...@gmail.comwrote: Having just bought some G-05 recently (in a pinch), I can say its definitely not the same as the old MB coolant. (Its best to not question how I know if a coolant is sweet or not, but lets just say I've been deal with a lot of it lately. I dropped off about 8 gallons for recycling during the holidays and my collection is growing again quickly) (And just because its blue, doesn't mean its the BMW stuff. It could be actually, but it really not relevant is another manufacturer uses the same, is it?) Usually had to replace the radiator. Marshall (may he rest in peace) said the Zerex G-05 was the same as the official MB stuff in the US - same stuff, different bottle. On a related note, the topic of coolant came up on OzBenz a few days ago and the outcome was that nothing but stuff which is specifically MB approved should be used. Specifically someone said that they had a pile of trouble with Zerex G-05, so sometimes it is worth spending a little more on the really right stuff.
