Gee, I feel hurt as I'm a digester, food, email, etc. And I use Comcast. I've never had any bounced emails. And I figure if I don't get an email, then it must be one of those individual poster emails that I don't care about :-) Anyway, if you can switch to Comcast, you won't have mail bounces (or at least you won't know about them) and you'll get free security for your computer(s). Re: [MBZ] Swedish pc board circuit and question for Wilton
George C Scott's character was General Turdgison. Jack Ripper was the wing commander with the precious bodily fluids. And yes, the scene with George C. Scott where he is gathering up all of his binders and saying, But, but - he'll see the big board!! is a classic one and a favorite of mine, too. Another favorite of mine is when George C. Scott's girlfriend calls him in the War Room. After he promises he will some day make her Mrs. Buck Turdgison and is about to put the phone down, he pulls back and tells her, And sug(ar) - don't forget to say your prayers! Pay close attention next time you watch the movie - when Slim Pickens is flying the B-52 and looking at a Playboy magazine, notice the centerfold. It's Buck Turdgison's girlfriend. [MBZ] rotors
#1 boy finally got some daylight time off to attempt to tackle the rotor swap on his w140. I went out to assist with executive function. He was having some issue with getting the calipers loose, and I looked at the rotors (thank you Sexy Chowda King) on the car and there was not a whole bunch of wear. Outer plate had all the wear, but still not a scary amount. Compared to the fresh rotors, maybe 3mm overall. Weather was turning, so I told him to button it up instead of messing up the job in the rain. Re: [MBZ] rotors
If everything is working I can't see another month or so making a big difference. 3 mm seems like an awful lot, however. I'm sure there is a minimum thickness value out there somewhere... About the only way I have found to bust the caliper bolts loose is to use a breaker bar with a socket or a combination wrench and a dead blow hammer. They're not terribly tight, but there will be thread locking compound on them if they were done properly. My tool of choice is dictated by the amount of clearance available, meaning the breaker bar on the bottom and wrench/hammer on the top. That's just to break them loose, after which I use a ratchet and any necessary extensions. Be sure that he has a good heavy hammer. Once he gets the bolt that holds the caliper in place removed he'll probably have to smack the caliper a few times to break it loose from the hub.
