[MBZ] 123 wheel cover

2014-05-14 Thread WILTON
I KNEW I shoulda saved those 3 or 4 123 wheel covers I finally laid out by the
street for somebody to take about 10 years ago.

Now, does anybody have one I may buy? 'Lost one off my "MB" trailer. 14"

Re: [MBZ] Why U no Turnz?!

2014-05-14 Thread clay
I am thinking we should all be removing the tumblers on a regular basis and
give them a huge cleaning up. Would keep our cars from locking us out.

Max, I had the option to use the spray stuff or a smaller liquid bottle to
inject the stuff. Poking the key in and jiggling for a few minutes every day
served to help the goo flow over parts. The gunk coming out got blacker and
thicker each day. Five days in, I used the finish sander to assist the gunk.

The key was fully inserted into the tumbler and I placed the sander head on the
key head. I applied a variety of pressures to the key and moved it around the
cardinal points to make sure every booger let loose. First attempt did not
make it work, so I zapped it a few more times until the key decided to turn.

As Randy mentioned, there is a less-expensive approach. I, however, would
 buy a new lock.

yes, I am pretty sure I was oblivious to your great knowledge and wisdom at
that point. I was afraid that I would be emasculated by following the advice
so quickly.

Re: [MBZ] Why U no Turnz?!

2014-05-14 Thread clay
Another minor solution I undertook today was to plug the exhaust leak at the
cross member. Frosch has the H cross pipe and my indy told me the driver side
had a leak that could be patched with a welder. I had seen emissions coming
out of the underside of that hole and figured it would be simple. Today I bit
the bullet and hit Meineke. Manager got me right on the lift and had the
welder dude drop a bead all the way around. Job done, manager give it to me as
a freebie. Welder dude pointed out passenger side had small leak and the pipe
weld was also failing. Now I have to order a full pipe set from the Sexy
Chowda King
