Re: [MBZ] Imitation Klann
Max is correct. I used the compressor on the 126 front end rebuild, discovered that once cranked all the way it would not uncrank, had to go to the FLAPS and borrow their external compressors to compress it a bit more then release mine a bit to get it back on the threads then release the externals to let it connect back to mine. I have no idea why it does this but learned. I was somewhat fearful while doing that procedure on the back of my truck in the parking lot. --R On 4/23/16 2:08 PM, Meade Dillon via Mercedes wrote: That looks pretty much like what Rich has, which I have used several times on my 124 cars. Very fortunately only new underwear / pants were required. As I recall, Rich's has a "feature" that if you crank it down all the way to the stops, it totally locks up and cannot be released, so he had to get some other spring compressor to get the tension off to remove his tool. When I used his, I either put some tape on it or made some marks or something, so I knew where the stops were. - Max Charleston SC On Sat, Apr 23, 2016 at 1:39 PM, Curly McLain via Mercedes < mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: Has anyone tried the imitation Klann spring compressors? Re: [MBZ] Imitation Klann
That looks pretty much like what Rich has, which I have used several times on my 124 cars. Works OK. Respect the deadly force involved, there is a youtube video of a guy using the Klann who still manages to screw it up and the spring goes sprong. - Max Charleston SC On Sat, Apr 23, 2016 at 1:39 PM, Curly McLain via Mercedes < mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > Has anyone tried the imitation Klann spring compressors? Re: [MBZ] OT microwave repair
I don't get why anyone would pay more than a few hundred bucks for a microwave. These built in models don't seem to work any better than a countertop plug in, and are ten times the price. I am just putting a countertop model into a cabinet and calling it good. Sharp commercial with a single dial control on the front. Not even a start button.
